I didn't know how to use it at first and thought they were empty. You need to press them down to activate them. I have no problem with these, not into art or anything, just used them to paint my guns and it work out fine.

I keep these at my desk rather than the drawer they belong in because I have used them so often. I've used them on stainless steel tool inscriptions to make marking bold and easy to read, plastic bins, bright red marking on black plastic case, and many other things. The paint holds up well even on plastic and metal, but it can be scratch off smooth plastic or metal, so it's wouldn't last long in areas of high wear.
