First, this is not an industrial strength, professional grade endoscope. It's a decent camera with LED adjustable lighting on the end of a 50 foot ¼ inch cable...all attached to a small GameBoy type of screen. It saved me time and money this weekend. The on screen directions are easy to use, very easy to use. The unit is light weight, and charges with a USB cable. The charge held for over three hours of use for me, though I was shutting it off when not in use. The majority of complaints I read before buying it was about the rigidity of the cable... don't expect a lot from this cable. It will not push through a 4 inch pipe, making turns and bends around corners for 50 feet. The trick is to secure the end to a cable snake (I used a zip tie) letting the snake be ahead of the camera by a few inches. This gave the rigidity the camera cable didn't have. I was able to camera 25 feet of pipe easily as long as the snake was able to make the bends. The 50 foot cable would do well in a ¾ inch conduit pipe but not a 4 inch sewer line. The one thing that I think is a downside is that the cable is permanently attached to the unit. It would be nice to interchange with a shorter cable if needed. ... show more

I purchased this for help with plumbing issues to help locate issues in my drain pipes. It was able to locate a problem in my pipes. The clarity of the picture is great, the color is also nice. I have the 50' cable, the drawback is that this does not work well navigating a bend in the pipes, if used in a straight application with no bends its fine. I also used it to locate a sending unit in a very hard to reach location in my engine, I was able to take clear photos that helped. ... show more

Got this for a pipe drain we are unable to unclog. Been trying to snake it and this helped find the clog and the unit is well made. I will use this to run wires in the wall so I may see inside if any pipes or studs are in the way. THe camera works well, the light is adjustable which is great. You can place the camera cable on a guild wire to aid in hard areas to reach. great tool for anyone from handyman to pro. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is my 2nd endoscope, and this is a better quality one. The functions on it are more simplified then the previous one I got, easier to take pictures or record, and the settings are really accessible. I love that it allows you to a zoom, or rotate the screen. The light added to the camera is more superior than the last one, it has a dimable knob to increase/decrease brightness. It comes with a 8g SD card and attachesble tools to the camera. They are very useful and does not obstruct the camera vision much. I didn't realize I got the 50 ft cord, but proved to be useful, especially running it down a dryer vent. The picture quality is great, figure my phone recording, doesn't do it justice. The unit only took me 15-20 to charge, and has a lanyard attachment option. Overall, happy with this buy! ... show more

Problem: Can't find the home's 1-1/2"id condensation drain pipe laid under the basement concrete floor and ends out back, but where? It's outlet is totally clogged and won't clear. I chose the Oiiwak because it had the highest waterproof rating. This 50' camera snake is not meant for long horizontal pipes. So, i attached 2 hard plastic balls (1", 1-1/4") to the camera, and a 25' sewer snake to the cable, all secured with waterproof tape (see photo of tools and materials used). I slid the apparatus down a vertical 17" pipe to a 90-degree elbow, which it slid through like grease, and zipped through the water-filled pipe to the next bend (135-degree). I could twist the camera, via the sewer snake, to view (clear water) the entire join*, and then continued the trip until the sewer snake ended. There was sludge, so i knew i was close to the pipe's outlet. I used the tools and materials in the second photo to calculate where the outlet was, and i was precisely right. Had to guess the depth it was buried. The end was under a shed wouldn't you know! Cut a 2'x5' hole in the floor and joined an extension so the outlet is where anyone can now find it. Hooray! Try this at your own risk, and there are risks! *Wish the camera had a square, or better yet, round view, instead of rectangular. That's why 4 stars. If this page allows it, i will shoot and attach a video of the camera's lightning trip through the water in the pipe. The only cost was the Oiiwak. Everything else was from my workshop. The balls stopped the camera from snagging on the elbows, kept the camera out of the slime, and improved the view and lighting. ... show more

I think if you were using this for other purposes, it would be a great tool. I tried to use it to check out my shower drain and once it hit the water in the pipe, the image was cloudy and I could not really see what was going on. This is something that other reviewers mentioned and I should have listened before I bought it. In addition, the camera's wire which is 50 ft. long, is really flimsy. You can control for about two feet of length but anything more than that is impossible to feed into the drain. If you are inspecting something with curves that is deep, good luck. I got about 2.5 feet into my drain and the wire started to coil up. Otherwise, the camera is good quality. Screen is great. Easy to use, but the coiling, uncontrollable wire makes this device worthless to me to inspect my home's drains. Oh and good luck rolling up the wire after using it. Egads. ... show more

Wow this thing is amazing. I haven't got the chance to actually use it but I have played with it quite a bit. The chord for the camera is pretty small and the 50 ft chord is just a bit bigger than the screen so it takes a lot less storage space then I expected. The light on the end of the camera is adjustable so it can get really bright and dim all the way to off. The picture quality is pretty good too! ... show more
