I have textured, wavy hair. This straightener makes my hair smooth and shiny--and I am not a product user! I love the heat control, as it makes it easier to choose the right setting for my hair on various days. The only thing to note, it hums (almost imperceptibly) when plugged in...it just means it is using electricity even when switched off, so don't leave it plugged in between uses.
