    • Such a dramatic upgrade but massive let down

Wow! This iron gives better results and leaves my hair silker and straighter with less passes than my older GHD Mk IV Dark styler. If it wasn't for my older styler starting to have intermittent issues after 10+ years of use, I wouldn't have ever considered making the plunge and convince myself on spending the money on GHD's latest styler. All I can say is it was money well spent. I just hope this model lasts 10+ years as well.. -Update- After a week of using this styler on a daily basis, I experienced issues with it, the light would flash red and beep at me and not get hot anymore.. Looking on google, apparently these stylers can have issues where any one of the six fuses would fail and caused this issue, so unfortunately had to return the one I got from Amazon.. However further reading, it seems a lot of the issues may come from those who made their purchases through Amazon and other 3rd party retailers... so against my better judgement because the product worked so well over the older Mark IV model I had, I decided to order another one but this time directly from the GHD website, not sure why I didn't consider or bother to look there in the first place, because I am glad that I did, not only was I able to get the white styler for the same price, but also, the heat spray was free (gotta pay extra for the bundle here on Amazon), but in addition, they had a sale promotion going on so I ended up getting the styler for ~$60 less than the price here on Amazon! Also not sure if it's true or not, but seen some reviews of individuals who did have issues with their styler and ghd not honoring warranty for purchases made off Amazon, however this could be due to individuals buying from the sketchy non-amazon sellers/listings here, but not sure, but whatever the case, at least i'll know buying direct from ghd, the styler will be fully covered if I do have the same issue I had with this one from Amazon beyond the 30 day return window. ... show more

This is the best flat iron I have ever used. I have used Chi, Sedu, Solia, Babyliss, hot tools and several others over the years. I have lived in some pretty humid places as well. I in VA now and it gets pretty humid during the summer. I have very frizzy, curly hair that does what it wants. LOL not anymore. I can flat iron my hair with this and the humidity doesn't affect it at all. Even when it's pouring rain outside. I may lose a little volume but no frizz, the waves I style last the next day too. I will never buy another flat iron brand. This is my forever one. Never again do I have to worry about frizzy hair. The standard heat setting seems to be perfect and it doesn't damage my hair anymore than usual. It heats up in less than 20 secs. Impressive! It's super easy to create curls, waves and bone straight. I am by no means a pro at styling but this GHD iron makes it super easy. I can NOT recommend this flat iron enough!! Get it!! ... show more

I love these, they glide smoothly through my hair and leave it looking and feeling silky and healthy. My hair type is fine/normal and slightly wavy. My hair is bad at holding curls I can create some great beach’s waves with these that last all day. Only thins that annoying is the plastic casing of the plate has a seam in in which my fine hair finds a way to get trapped in, which never happened with my old GHDs that I have for 10 years. Also kinda wish the button was a switch like the used to be, the press and hold button to switch on and audio feedback just feels a little out of sync and devalues the experience for me. Can’t speak more highly about this flat iron. My girlfriend had it on vacation and I used hers and I asked her why it works so much better. I have had many flat irons in my lifetime and this is absolutely the best. You only have to go through your hair one time and it doesn’t burn your hair gets all the kinks out with just one application.
