I’ve tested so many dry shampoo brands out there. So many. Trust me. There are two that reign supreme for me. Batiste and OGX. I love this specific charcoal detox because I feel like I’m literally detoxing my hair. I wash my hair 2 times a week so my hair can get pretty oily and dirty during the week. This stuff is powerful. Charcoal is magical. I don’t know what it is but i see now why it’s used it in so many different cleaning products. I highly recommend this if you are looking for just a good dry shampoo that will make you feel like you are getting a good midweek deep clean detox. The Coconut is my favorite. I have dark, Caucasian, color treated hair with highlights. My scalp and hair is generally dry; therefore I do not have problems with oiliness. I have trained my hair to go 5-7 days between washes. The only products I use on my hair are serums and a liquid gel after washing. I generally use a dry shampoo 2 or 3 times between washes for freshening the smell. I prefer something that imparts a clean scent. I am a fan of OGX products and this does a basic job. It does texturize my hair more than moisturizing it. The smell begins as strong, which softens a few minutes after applying. The scent is perfumy, somewhat musky. Because I prefer a cleaner smell, I will not purchase this particular dry shampoo again. This is my third dry shampoo I’ve tried and by far the best. My hair actually goes from looking oily to just washed. The smell is pleasant. My hair doesn’t get oily again for several days, much longer than when I wash it with water and shampoo. Not sure why, but it does. Regarding the white residue, it is there. My hair color is blonde though so I can’t hardly tell. Also, brushing it after spraying helps even it out. Im not sure if this would work for black hair though, considering the whitish powder. ... show more

I don't know what it is but dry shampoo of any brand just doesn't do what I think its supposed to do. Of the many brands I've tried this one was fairly decent. The scent wasn't my favorite but it wasn't stinky, just personal preference. Overall if you actually use dry shampoo and like it I'd definite say give this a try. ... show more

This stuff is AMAZING!!! I have tried so many different dry shampoos because my scalp is oily. This gives my hair volume, smells good and absorbs any oil I may have on my scalp. I will be buying again!
