I dont have a bird problem. I had a cat problem.. The cats were jumping on my vehicle and leaving me nasty surprises. I glued these to carboard and sat on the hood of my jeep. It kept them from jumping on the jeep and it did not harm the cats. I placed several more in my flower bed to keep the cats from pooping in the mulch. I had long 12 inch stakes which worked perfectly. The color blended with my mulch so it wasn't an eye sore. Works as intended and not cats were hurt...

This product worked perfect for my son's outdoor basketball backboard. The birds would land on the top and make a mess of the backboard and the concrete driveway. These strips were the same width as the backboard and fit perfectly. I purchased the 8 ft option, as the backboard is 49 inches in length. Now I have several sections left over for other purposing. I used some heavy-duty 3M outdoor double sided tape to secure them to top. An inexpensive fix to a gross problem.

You may find this hard to believe. Last year I had a pigeon building a nest on top of my a/c. At first I thought it was fantastic. I watched daily...taking photos & video as well. She gave birth to 2 squabs. I knew I couldn't & wouldn't remove the nest & the 2 squabs so llet them be until about 2 months later they fledged. It was fine & dandy until I saw what the top of my a/c looked like & my a/c no longer worked. The entire summer without a/c. Unfortunately...they ruined my a/c & I was not amused. I wasn't going to let that happen again this year. I bought a new a/c along with 2 boxes of these bird spikes. A/c was installed & bird spikes were glued on top..under & on the cement windowsill on either side of the a/c. Two weeks ago...2 mourning doves were scouting out my a/c!!! I didn't know it until l opened the window & found under my a/c on top of the bird spikes a nest !! From another window I spotted the bird walking on top/in between the bird spikes. Sorry to say.. I wasn't dealing with this again and having my air conditioner ruined again, and I got rid of the nest and now it's been six days and no pigeons nor mourning doves. I did read that pigeons & mourning doves recognize your face. Now, every time I go out I’ll have to wear a Groucho Marx disguise to ward off birds from attacking me. I’m guessing it can be a replay of the movie, The Birds.

Man v Squirrels Day 1: Man buys metal “squirrell-proof” bird feeder. Hangs from cable too thin for squirrels to climb. Seven feet from tree trunk. Day 1 + 3 hours: Squirrels figure out how to make perfect seven foot leap, land on top. Hang just right and eat bird food. Day 7: Birds say, “to heck with this hanging just right,” figure out how to remove lid, crawl in bird feeder and feast. Laying back and looking not unlike Nero at a Roman Bacchanalia. Only thing missing is tiny squirrel-sized wine goblet. Day 14: Man purchases heavy duty rare earth magnets to hold lid on feeder. I mean really heavy duty. Day 15: Squirrels figure out how to slide magnets far enough to open lid. Continue their revelry. Begin to openly taunt dim-witted little man. Day 21: Man drills holes and affixes lid with sheet metal screws. Makes refilling a little harder but worth it. Man says, take that you dim-witted little squirrels. Day 21+ 1 hour: Squirrels resume previous tactic of hanging just so to eat seeds. Bend the bird feeder enough so they can now stand on the perch bar and never be cut off. Resume taunting of dim-witted little man. Day 253: Man discovers sqirrel repelling spikes (this product ) and affixes to lid so when squirrels make seven foot leap they will be in “for a little surprise.” Advantage: dim-witted man. Day 254: Squirrels figure out how to make seven foot leap “just so” and avoid painful spikes. Advantage Squirrels. Day 270: Man adds more spikes, giving precious little room for safe landing. Looks terrible, but the fooling around is pretty much over. Advantage man. Current Score: Squirrels 5 - Man 0. Stay tuned….. Somehow, this product did not keep them off the top of the feeder, even after I added more than in the pic. Amazing. I am a humbled, broken and defeated little man. All hail to squirrels.

We tried everything to deter a robin from building a nest above our front door; cd discs were knocked down, foil was knocked down… this bird was very persistent and determined! The bird spikes ordered actually helped! That pesky robin never returned!

I had a problem with barn swallows. They kept trying to build a nest on my front porch light. I put these on the top of the light and presto they are gone. Just remember that you have to have your own adhesive. Glue, tape, or velcro.

Thus was an easy to install item with many option. I used double sided mounting tape. The spiked are on strips that are easily split into shorter sections to customize the installation. We had an issue with birds nesting on our front porch, no longer an issue. I bought the clear/white and it blends in and is not noticeable at all. Highly recommended.

These worked to finally keep birds from building nests on the light fixture in our covered entryway and leaving bird droppings all over our welcome mat. Inexpensive and easy to divide into the sizes you need. The plastic spikes don't look great but if you can bear it through the spring nesting season it's worth it.
