Probably not your fanciest but it gets the job done! I particularly like that the handle comes off easily for storage purposes. It’s easy to use and I’ve been using it for over a year with no problems. I use it to bind our homeschool workbooks as well as making little scrapbook style booklets for my kids. Overall this is a good machine and does what I expected it would do, which is to punch heavy paper and single-layer matboard for making sketchbooks, notebooks, etc. I'm giving it four, rather than five stars because it isn't able to punch really heavy stock, like a double layer of matboard or heavy chipboard for book covers. Nevertheless the quality is very good for the price and I'm overall happy with the purchase. Also, be aware that it comes with a large box of fairly small diameter wire binding spines, all one size -- I had to buy another box of assorted sizes to get the bigger ones that are more useful for what I do. It would be nice if they included a box of assorted spines, rather than all one size.

Works well as described. Easy to create thin books. I struggled with the binding holder on the front but the holes line up well so I was able the poor the binding on manually. Good size for personal projects.

It was hard to use. I had to return it. When I received it I was very excited to use it. Gave it a try and it punched holes perfectly. When it came to closing the wires that did not work. The presser was off balance and only half closed one side. I bought this for a conference and was not able to use it for that purpose. I will say I had no problem returning it and I am grateful for that. I will not purchase this again and I do not recommend.

The first cutter does not cut cleanly. This will be returned to look for a better one. Due to not cutting fully, on the first hole, I was not able to use it for any projects.

If not for the handle I likely would have kept it. That and trying to find 3:1 wire & spirals. Let's start with the handle. WHAT A WORKOUT! Definitely not for those of us who have strength or mobility issues. My back arm and shoulders were in pain for days (3 days) from a couple of hours of punching holes. Wore me out! The other issue is one that Cooperate needs to pay attention to. It has been across the board that when I type in (and I don't think I am alone) something I am looking for specifically, it shows me nearly every other choice but the one I am looking for. The other side of that take this machine for example, it is 3:1 pitch, but options and matching items do not come up. I tried entering 2:1 spiral spines everyone including car parts came up, except 2:1 pitch spiral coil spines. Instead of the a.i. system saying sorry not available or discontinued? Put in 4:1 and 3:1 pitch options show but then the options change, especially if you don't put a deal in your cart as you come acrossed it. Am I the only one having this issue. I have an item repeatedly order for someone every 3 -6 months. So time came to order it and I did but when I looked at it after it said it shipped, it is not even the same item. It is a different scent. Once it arrives I will be sending it back. It is not a 1 or 2 day shipment and he is in need of the item. Options, merchandise, delivery issues. Go to the store though and shelves are empty of entire sections. And maybe if you don't have it there should be some notice of redirecting to a "similar item' available notice.

I have a leather cover for tally books that I really like. But tally books themselves are wanting. I prefer a grid layout. anyway, I bought this machine to punch grid paper that I custom cut to size for my tally book cover. The price of the machine is great because I had been looking for a long time and couldn't find anything that would do the job for under $300. That's just too much for making one custom notebook a month. The value for the money on this punch made customized tally books a reality for me. I would buy this again, but its so sturdy that I don't think I'll ever need replace it.
