Order this well in advance. Mine didn’t arrive in time for my first trip, although I’ve used it successfully since. Airlines say they have these lanyards available, but in my experience they do not. Even the airline that promotes this program the most didn’t have them, and neither LAX nor ORD had any on hand. You really do have to buy the lanyard yourself. Having said that every single staff member immediately recognized it as indicating a hidden disability. My son and I received priority assistance with no questions and genuinely kind treatment.
