I have an original Falcon at work and I was pretty pumped to take the risk ordering this for the price. I’ve attached pictures showing this is a Creality Falcon SE with a 10W laser and 370mm X 400mm working space. Smaller than the Falcon but not the “Pro” version as advertised. Only reason for 4 not 5 stars is the inaccurate description. Otherwise for the price and power this has, I’m very happy. I couldn't find much info on the SE version of the Falcon laser, but the difference is that the SE has a useable area of 30cm x30cm, smaller than the standard falcon. Other than that, it's the same machine. It works with Lightburn directly through USB-c without needing an SD-Card. I had mine up and running about 20 minutes after opening the box, super easy to build. The laser is quite powerful, much stronger than the 5w lasers that I'm used to. I had to update the firmware to the September 2022 version in order to get it to show up as a USB device on my M1 Pro Macbook but after that, and restarting Lightburn everything worked great. I'm very satisfied with this unit, especially for the price. ... show more

This is a Laser Falcon SE. Before I even received it I saw that other review stating it's not the Falcon Pro. I messaged Creality and they don't know anything about it. There is zero support available for this machine. Try to look it up on their website. No downloads or support. The memory card became corrupted with barely any use. Now there is no way to even use the machine with any computer other than the one it was set up with. (The only way to connect the machine is to use the file from the memory card.) So only a matter of time until it becomes a paperweight. ... show more

I have went through several types of calibration setups and it will not cut a clean circle nor a true square. If multiple layer it starts out in one spot and then rest of the cut is off by 2mm sucks

    • Had no clue MC sold online - my mistake!

We stopped buying anything more complex than printer filament due to MC's business model changing for the worse (we found that out of the last ten purchases made of $1,000 or more, EVERY single purchase contained at least one item being sold AS NEW, but in fact being used, refurbished or reconditioned (they all mean the same there)) and this purchase was no different - not only used, but blatantly so. (Even finger prints on the lens, the red safety seal sticker being torn, example basswood plates missing, etc.) We know to be more careful as to who is selling what through Amazon now! The Creality Falcon 5W (SE) is an "engraver" and can cut through basic papers and thin basswood. The 10W (SE Pro) has a bit more muscle and though I've never pushed one to this limit, there's a claim she can eat through 1/2" of plywood in a single pass... though I'd imagine that claim is running the laser at a crawl and keeping an extinguisher at arm's length! Warnings: * ALWAYS have a metal sheet (honeycomb preferred) below your material - and not shiny/mirror-like! * Keep a good ABC extinguisher in the room, even if you're an engineer such as myself... anything goes! * Use a cheap camera (ie: Wyze v2) instead of your eyes - I'd rather destroy one over the other to focus, etc. Pro's: The SE Pro 10W is a nice little ripper for soft/thin woods, craft papers, etc. but struggles with anything more dense than PCB, but what it's intended for - it does it well! It's also very easy to upgrade this unit to virtually any X and Y size you'd like! Con's: Lack of an on-board controller/LCD and the lack of being able to focus the lens itself - and this one is quite a bit out of focus. ... show more
