I'm a big guy... 6'2", 500lb... I've tried many chairs for my office and most are either large enough but uncomfortable, or comfortable but not large enough... this one is JUST RIGHT! I assembled it myself. 14 screws and dropping in the wheels- easy peasy.

It's been 4 months in use at least 45 hours per week by a big dude who works from home and has his desk set up as both work and play (with appropriate switches for peripherals). It is a fairly comfortable chair, and it seems pretty durable so far. I did not use the plastic castors that came with the chair because I had heavy duty ones that fit perfectly (and my experience with plastic ones hasn't been that great), and the chair sits comfortably, moves well. The only thing I'm trying to get used to is the lumbar support which forces a curvature of mybspine if I want to use the head rest. It doesn't feel comfortable and I need to contort my upper body to be able to utilize the headrest feature. As you can imagine, that means I don't use the headrest often, however, my pet bird absolutely loves perching on the headrest to supervise my actions. Once I can see if the lunar support can be adjusted for more comfortable headrest use, I'll be happy, but that doesn't take away from how sturdy this chair feels while I'm working. Its also one of the more comfortable chairs in my residence! Yes, its a bit pricey, but quality can be expensive. I'd rather pay a bit more for a well made, durable product that lasts than pay 33% of this cost every 6 months for a new chair.

Pros: 1. Quite easy to install, although you need a bit of hand strength. No extra tools needed; they give you a Hex Key Allen wrench with a handle. Assembly took about 30 min. 2. Finally, a company that fixed the back attachment issue. Uses the side arms instead of underneath the cushion. 3. Seat cushion reasonably comfortable (today). I'm a little skeptical how long it will last, being 6'-2" 420lbs, haven’t had much luck. 4. Package arrived in 3 days (estimated 5-7). Arrived in good order. Maybe the "Fragile" sticker on the box helped. Kudos to Office Factor and FedEx. 5. Love the fact that the arms go up and down and can be folded up out of the way. Head rest is a nice touch. 6. Packaged well enough inside, no scratches or defects. 7. Extra hardware and caps are appreciated. Cons: 1. No warranty to speak of. Amazon directs you to the manufacturer’s website. It appears you get a 30-day return. Most companies offer something???… would not have purchased chair knowing this now. Not going to mark down the product review for company policy issues and lack of research on my part. 2. Wheels: They do the job, but same junkie wheels as always. (shrug) 3. Seat cushion: Could be a bit wider and stiffer padding. As mentioned above, very skeptical on longevity for its intended weight rating. 4. No information about part replacement. However, you are given a phone number for questions about assembly. 5. Not an all day chair, 4-5 hours at best. Despite the cons above, the product is still 4.4 stars. There are not a lot of quality options for big and tall people (having been thru 5 chairs in the last 3 years). Although, you can find a really good quality chair for 1/2 the price, it just may not have all the extra features. I would recommend if you can overlook the warranty issue.

I just retired this chair after a little more than two years, just after the 2-yr warranty expired. This chair is generally nicely designed but has two significant flaws which greatly limit its longevity. The most important is a poorly designed star base. Instead of designing a one piece base, this one welds the wheel sockets into the base. That is the failure point. If you shift the chair around a lot or use those replacement glider wheels, they stress and eventually crack the weld or bend the sockets causing the chair to become uneven as the wheels start to bend to the side. We went through a total of three star bases on this chair, all failing for the same reason. The chair is extremely difficult to repair if you have to dislodge the chair's pneumatic lift unit from the base. It took a large sledgehammer and 30 minutes to remove it. The company was responsive and prompt in sending us the parts, but we felt repeatedly replacing a badly designed base was too much, especially as the warranty ended. There are other chair companies with lifetime warranties on these parts (Safco for one) that will even replace the chair if needed. If a company limits you to a 1-2 year warranty, an extended warranty can make sense. The second flaw was the use of seating foam that broke down over a year making the seat less comfortable. Big and tall chairs should use premium stiff foams to allow for break-in and longevity.

I had high hopes for this chair since it was the only one I could find that had all of the features I was looking for and at a reasonable price. Overall the chair is pretty sturdy and comfortable, but it definitely has design flaws. PROS: It is a great size for a big person (I'm not tall, so I can't review for that), most parts seem sturdy and well made, the movable armrests are great. CONS: As others have mentioned the headrest is too far back to be of much use, the lumber support doesn't push out far enough to do much, and the brackets that hold the back to the cushion dig into your legs if you have wide hips like I do. I was ok with all of that, but I'm REALLY disappointed that within 2 weeks of sitting on it for a couple of hours a day, the seat slowly sinks all the way down every time I sit on it now. I weight about 375lb and specifically looked for a chair rated for at least 500lb so this wouldn't be an issue (at least not for much longer than 2 weeks).
