Light if pretty bright, the fan works pretty good for a small area. We used it car camping on the beach and it worked well for what we needed it for. Two may benefit for a larger tent or for a super hot day/night.

I think this fan is good, depending on your expectations. On a super hot camping night, I would want two, maybe even three of them. The light is bright, and very nice. The fan, if you’re wanting to feel it on you, is not that effective. But it depends on how far away it is from you. It is great for circulating the air around. I probably would never use the “low” setting, unless it was a cool night and I wanted the air circulation. We have an 8 person tent, and the “high” setting isn’t strong enough for us. We usually camp in warmer weather, so we probably would need 3 set at different corners of the tent. It does take 2 D batteries, which I like, because you don’t have to carry a hundred extra batteries with you. (We have another fan that takes 8 batteries, with the option of an adapter with electricity, and the fan power is definitely higher, but you have to buy a TON of extra batteries) I gave it five stars, because it is exactly as described. For fall and spring camping, I think would be perfect. It is adjustable, but the hook is fixed, so you cannot swivel it around. It adjusts forward and backwards, but not full circle. The light can be used as a stand too, so you can use it on a table. Like I said, it depends on your expectations and wants. ... show more

I ordered these for camping. And even though we haven’t gone camping yet, it’s still a little bit too cold, I did try them out, and I really like them. They’re not super powerful due to being battery operated, but they’ll do fine for when you don’t have electric hookup

Bought this for tent camping. Hung it in the center of a small tent for getting away. Circulated enough air to keep it from feeling stale inside. The light is very bright and good for reading/whatever while inside. The battery life isn't great if you use the full speed fan but it will last all night one night. The second night it did seem a little weaker but still lasted. Might be worth looking at rechargable batteries and a solar charger for extended trips, but moves quite a bit of air. ... show more
