For the record, I would like to start and say this light is fantastic. The picture does not do it justice, it’s flush and it’s bright. Replaced an older double fluorescent long bulb fixture and it’s a night and day difference. However, they couldn’t have made the install harder if they tried. It’s a basic wiring hook up, That is easy. But getting the light connected to the frame once it’s up close to impossible, if you’re by yourself. Even with two people it’s hard and if you need to be on a ladder installing this on a ceiling that makes it even harder. You basically have to get all four corners to match a small hole you can’t see and then slide it to the left which is the most frustrating thing I’ve ever done for a simple electrical light. I highly recommend the light, You’ll be very happy with it. But just prepare for the pain install. ... show more

    • It’s a beat to slide the light into the base
Looks nice when it’s finished. Put it into our rather small laundry room to replace an old fluorescent fixture. Well the base was easy peasy to install and wire. Good directions. As another reviewer mentioned, the light was hard for them to attach onto the base. After numerous unsuccessful attempts, here are our suggestions. It took two of us and we needed to rest between attempts due to the frustration and our arms got tired. One younger and stronger person might could do it though. We both tried independently to put it up but now know the wires were causing it to roll and one side would come out as soon as the other side made it into the bracket slots. Make sure as much of the wiring is inserted into the light fixture box as possible. Also make sure the bracket for the tether is flat. We ran into trouble because the wires were in the way and then the screw bracket for the tether was bent out so they kept interfering with it it staying flat to fit onto the brackets. We used some painters tape to mark where we needed to aim the light to fit into the brackets since it’s flush and it’s hard to see where they go and there’s not much room to feel where the slots are located. Once everything sticking out was somewhat flatter the fixture did slide on the brackets correctly. It’s a lot lighter in weight and flatter than the old fluorescent fixture. 4 stars because it looks nice but 2-3 stars for ease of installation. ... show more

    • So much better than tube lighting.
Contractor installed one in my kitchen during remodel. I purchased 1 for my laundry room. Looks much nicer than "shop lights" and so much brighter. Very thin and I wondered if it would be bright enough. Yes it is. Very pleased.

I wanted a light fixtures that resembled a sky light. This was great for the price, however it wasn't as flush to the ceiling as I would have liked. There was about a 1/4 inch gap around the fixture...which isn't a big deal, but it's noticeable. Overall I'm happy with the brightness and clean contemporary design ... show more

I searched and found this product for my utility room. It is a very good product and I am happy with this purchase. I will get another one to make a pair for my utility room. There are three things I like about this product. 1. Easy to install: it's made of aluminum l so that its mounting bracket itself can hold the weight. For other products, usually two fasteners are required on both ends to support the weight. its unique bracket and light weight make installment like a breeze. I installed it myself in less than 20 mins. 2. Integration of LED and len: the design requires no maintenance. No need to change the tubes. The dust and bugs won't get above the len. You don't need to take off the len at all. That's a big plus because the len is very fragile and I broke several ones. 3. It's stylish: The light is bright and is smoothly distributed downwards into the area. The website mentioned the LED module has 50000 hours lifespan. My pictures show my old fluorene light fixture and this light fixture. It makes the room more appealing. ... show more

It did NOT provided screws, wire splicer together. Littler difficulty to hook together lamp with ceiling base won't hook easily, it took too much time figuring out where was the hook from the lamp to the base.
