Needed something like to power on a pc in a homemade arcade cabinet and it does the job. Ample cable length gives good mounting options. The little included sticky pad isn't the best but that's nothing to do with the switch itself, which has a nice tactile click to it, and the blue LED light is nice. ... show more

Chose this one out of many options because I really liked the small adhesive it came with to attach where I wanted. Arrived in a totally unsealed plastic package, inside a box, no adhesive. Can't be bothered to go through a return or replacement process. I'll live with it missing parts. You get what you pay for. ... show more

    • Handy little gadget
This is one of those gadgets I didn't know I needed until I saw it on Amazon. Having the power switch for my PC on the top of the desk has made it a bit more convenient to have my PC stashed on the floor under the desk. Installation was easy, but there are absolutely no instructions, so if you've never assembled a computer before, it may be a bit of a challenge. The wiring will be slightly different for different motherboards, but basically, trace wire for the existing wire from the power switch to the motherboard, unplug it, and plug this one in. Then do the same for the power LED. Which leads me to one other drawback to using this switch, at least on my PC - the front panel power switch is no longer functional. I could easily crimp together a Y cable to be able to make both switches functional, but I probably won't. The hardest part of installation was finding a hole to pass the wire into the case - I put it through an unused expansion slot. The switch itself is pretty nice, but a bit touchy, so make sure you mount it somewhere where you won't brush against it accidentally. There is a small adhesive disk included for mounting the switch to a smooth, clean surface. Not sure how well it would stick to wood, but it sticks to the base of my monitor pretty well. If they had included at least some instructions, or at least a link to an installation video, this would be a 5-star product. But the lack of instructions cost them a star. ... show more
