Bottom line: This coat is warm yet lightweight, flattering, and of excellent quality. I originally bought this in black. LOVED it. Wore it everywhere. It is always flattering. Got caught in the rain while wearing this coat once when I was hiking in the mountains with friends. It was a long wet hike back to the car and I thought I would be soaked through but was pleasantly surprised. I was the only one who stayed dry. This washes well and dries fast. It is very light weight and has just enough stretch to be figure flattering. My teenage daughter stole it so often that I finally told her to take it to college with her and ordered myself another one - in blue this time for fun. The color is vivid and just as pictured. Really happy with the quality of this coat. It has seen a LOT of use and is holding up well. My black one still looks new and is at least a year old with almost daily wear. The zipper is great quality - this is one of the things about a coat I find fails most often but I have had no issues with this one. I like the hood - easy to flip up and keep the rain off and still looks good up or down. Nice deep pockets and an inside pocket on each side. The outside pockets zip, the inside ones are just a three sided square but I find it a good place to store the silky travel bag that comes with the coat - the bag makes it easy to stuff the coat into a small space for packing or carrying around. Keeping the bag with the coat means I can actually find it when I need it, or stow the coat quickly if the weather has a dramatic mood swing. I have had many puffer coats over the years. This coat is a little more expensive than other coats that look similar but the quality of this one is so much better that I feel it is still a better value.

I got this coat for a trip out West this fall. I picked it for the price and for the fact that it packs up small and is light weight. I ordered a size bigger than I usually wear as I wanted to layer underneath the coat. I was traveling in Utah, Wyoming, and Montana in September so temperatures can fluctuate greatly from sunup to sundown. I used the Obosoyo Women's Winter Packable Down Jacket as an outer layer and wore several layers underneath as I knew I would not need that much warmth all day. I liked the double zipper which allowed me to zip open the lower half of the jacket so that I could take bigger steps. The hood is nice for those days when you forget to grab a beanie. The zipper is easy to use and runs smoothly in its tracks. Some zippers are hard to line up but this one was easy. It is comfortable and stylish. I am unsure how warm it will be in sub-freezing temperatures, but I loved it for fall hikes and neighborhood walks. Fast forward to January and I am still enjoying this coat! It has kept me warm on cold morning walks with my dogs. It does a great job blocking the wind and keeping me comfortable. It has become my “go to” coat this winter. I am glad I purchased the large as it is the perfect length for my arms. I have room to wear bulkier sweaters or shirts underneath. I have broad shoulders and a more narrow body so I love the room the large gives me. I do not feel like i will bust the seams when reaching or flexing.

I was looking for a lightweight packable mid-thigh length down coat with a windproof hood. This fit the bill. It is NOT a winter coat-- I would not wear this alone in under 50-55 degrees F. Instead I would wear a fleece under it, or (what I got it for) is to wear underneath a winter coat for below zero weather. I also got it for late spring, mountains in summer, and early fall travel. Zipper was sticky when it arrived. (I greased it with soap, and it works better, but it is slightly malformed, and I worry it will eventually fail.) I got the lake blue, which looks like it has a more turquoise and iridescent sheen in the picture. It is a flatter aqua blue, with little sheen. It's sort of the flat color of an old down sleeping bag. Still nice, but not as vibrant or unique as in the photo. The fit is great-- slightly A line, and hits me 5'7 at mid thigh. I'm a 12 and the L fits perfectly-- I can wear a sweater underneath, so it might also fit a 14. Comes with a stuff sack, which is handy. Well constructed. Inside and outside pockets on both sides. THE HOOD IS AWESOME. It is a windproof bonnet style-- meaning it extends past your face slightly, meaning peripheral vision is somewhat impacted, but it keeps the wind and rain off your face. The jacket's zipper zips the hood closed at or just above your chin. This means it stays in place in a strong wind, and is very aerodynamic. There is no drawstring on the hood because of this design (which is pretty much perfect). Like most down coats, this is not waterproof. It will soak in a strong rain. It will be ok in a mist or drizzle, and seems to dry quickly so far. All in all, I am pleased. This is what I was looking for. But don't buy this if you are looking to be warm under 55 degrees F. It's just a little warmer than sweater weight. But for an all around layer and excellent travel coat, yes please!

I bought this last year to take on a trip to the British Isles. I was loving this coat!!! It was warm and light weight, flattering easy to pack. I just washed it for the first time, according to the directions attached to the inside seam. All the filling matted!!!! I'm not sure how warm and puffy it will be now. Really disappointed. I have a short puffy jacket that I bought years ago at Costco for $12 that I throw into the washer and drier and it's still puffy, warm and not matted. Don't know what the problem is with this $75 coat that I'll probably not be able to wear again. It's way past its return date.

Love love love this for a super lightweight mid thigh length puffy coat. Fits well and is super comfortable. Not sure I would wear it for long periods outside in a Michigan winter but it’s a great coat to toss on and run errands and be casual. Easily compressible so it will pack well too

Appearance is good, fits really nice. But quality is very poor. Already feathers are coming out and it’s less than a week that I’m wearing it. Seems like jacket wasn’t new, or being returned by someone. Came without any single tag attached to a jacket.
