This is a very powerful, capable tool in the hands of someone who knows how to code modules. This is still a very useful tool for those less familiar with coding, and the credits make that easy too. For starters, you do need an account. When you first connect the dongle to your phone, the pro account automatically unlocks, no need to look for a code to redeem or anything else. You do NOT need to use the in-app "one click apps" (read: spend more money for convenience) to code things; if you feel comfortable enough coding the modules on your own, all you need is the pro account or higher. There are tons of guides for VW/Audi online that walk you through how to code various features, and I'm sure guides exist for other makes of vehicle. I did experience a few occasions where the dongle seemed to time out and didn't respond for several minutes, or modules did not accept certain long coding. All I did was shut the car off, let it completely power down (open and close driver door, lock doors) and then try again which fixed it every time. Do note that some coding requires the hood to be open, so pay close attention to directions. Hope this helps eliminate some confusion! ... show more

    • This tool is as useful as VCDS as I see it.
I love how much data you can get on the issues, there is a bit of a learning curve and no real manual. It is similar to getting a phone, no user manual but it is intuitive. It helped me find a few issues with my Audi quickly. It works GREAT! I would recommend it to anyone with a VAG vehicle.

2006 Audi A4 B7 FWD CVT Premium. I needed to turn off the STUPID SEAT BELT CHIME. Buying the Ross-Tech for $300 just for that is not a good idea. I heard this can turn it off. It WORKED! I also made a couple of mods too. It's pricey since you can get monitoring bluetooth readers for $15. I like the capabilities and I think it's a good investment since it can be updated. Also, some of the channels have instructions built in meaning there's no need to scour the internet. The app is OK but it does need you to log in, but then again what doesn't nowadays.     • DOES NOT WORK. BUYER BEWARE!!!
I ordered the OBDELEVEN for one simple task - to turn off the seatbelt warning in my new Audi car. While I was able to connect and view my settings, when I tried to change one I would get an error that "something went wrong - try again later". After attempting to change the setting several times without success I gave up. When driving the car later that day a lot of warnings started to appear about various systems not working. I tried to use OBDEleven to clear these warnings but it would not clear them. I contacted OBDEleven support and sent them a picture of my dashboard and their response was they couldn't find anything on the internet related to my problem. My car is telling me not to drive it and to take it to a dealer to have it diagnosed. I believe something happened with the device that caused these errors in my car. OBDEleven support was useless and the device caused a major inconvenience for me. I would stay away from this product. ... show more

    • It works but takes a lot of learning
OBD11 works great and has many features I will probably never use. So far I have been having many issues with my particular problems like deactivating TPMS. Still have not figured it out and I have followed all the tutorials online with no luck. I also purchased the pro version which I thought was supposed to come with 100 free credits. I did not get any free credits. I had to purchase even more credits when I received it. Overall it works great and has many functions. Just make sure you do the research before hand to make sure it can solve your problem. ... show more

I purchased this OBDeleven scan tool for diagnosing misfires on my 2021 VW Jetta. It worked flawlessly. The interface is excellent and I had no problems registering my account or activating my pro credits. This scan tool is worth the money!

It’s already paid for itself. It come with a subscription if you buy the pro. I love it. Some don’t like that you have to buy credits. But being able to read codes on anything is great for me. The modding/changing code on your car doesn’t cost anymore than it would if you brought it someplace to have it done. Great buy in my opinion. ... show more

I've been using VCDS (other, most common programmer) for a 5 years. I wanted to get the OBD Eleven when they first come out, but there was too much of the typical hatred of change among the VAG-COM crowd, so I was timid. No regrets, anything you can do on the other, you can do on this. This is much more user friendly, app is mostly intuitive. The biggest gain of these vs the other guys, this has unlimited VIN's, get the lifetime membership. I've used it on '18 Atlas SELR, 2 x '14 beetles, '01 Beetle, '16 Passat, and maybe soon an ID.4 Don't get any of the other guys if you plan on using it several times or for a few vehicles.
