I like the fact that this is made from steel and not a lighter plastic or aluminum. The weight helps keep it stable and upright and will resist bending from strong wind. I suggest using a lubricant on the threaded sections to avoid cross threading. The top cap could be made from a heavier material (plastic) but it must remain light so as to not damage the boat if it falls over. It actually has a bit of thought put into it in terms of what it does. For the price I think it's a great value considering what it would cost to make this. It assembles easily and supports my cover nicely without sharp pressure points on the tarp. A simple device that doe what it's designed for.

sturdy and easy to assemble. Straps are a bit clumsy but hold well once in place. The only thing I don't like is that you cannot adjust the height very much. You can take out one section of pole, but that's it. I would buy again knowing the height is set.
