My wife is very picky about the blankets in our bed but she loves this one. She has to have a ribbon on the edge and she really likes how soft and silky this one is. As for others who complain about how they needed to wash the blanket a few times before it softened up, we are totally happy with the softness right out of the box! I’ve searched for these blankets for a very long time. I was looking for the ones that reminded me of my childhood with the satin binding that were soft, warm but not too warm, satin binding that felt soft and cool to your face, and washed up very nicely. These are like the ones that my mother had. When I found them, I was so excited I have purchased one for each of my bedrooms and for my granddaughters their twin beds. My son even loves these blankets because it reminds him of grandma’s house and how he would rub the satin binding across his face as he slept. The blankets wash up beautifully I wash them on a regular cycle and dry them on low heat (do not dry on normal or high).
