Bought the large and it fits but really tight. This is very well made with a lot of padding. What that means in the end is there’s not much neoprene between them to offer any stretch. So if you have a big chest or a middle tire, opt for the buckle instead of the zip vest or size up. Was a great price so keeping it and getting the XL ;) ... show more

I've always used an O'Neill Outlaw vest (about 25-30 yrs old) but it was time to get a new one. That should be an indication of the quality of O'Neill products. The OPutlaw doesn't look like a slalom vest any more, so I chose this one. I was a little worried about it being USCG approved because that used to mean bulky. I'm pleased to say this vest is definitely not bulky and is extremely light. The only thing that is a little awkward is the stiffness of the flotation material, but that already seems to be improving after three uses. ... show more

6'3" 185 pounds. Large fits perfectly. Sizes are right on. Take a piece of string around the widest part of your chest then measure. Great life vests.

I have used this life jacket on one boating trip so far. I'm 6'4" and 190lb and the large fits me perfect, almost like a custom fit. It kept me afloat in the lake with no effort on my part. Very good quality material and stitching. I expect it to last many years.

I am about 5,10 200lbs. It fits good but if I had a few more pounds on me it would be to tight. If you have a big belly go for a bigger size.
