I am EXTREMELY pleased with this product! It is beautifully engineered and makes a great looking, stable, raised bed! I'm 63, female, and assembled the entire thing in about 3hrs (there are 70 nuts/bolts to hold it together). The stabilizer rods in the center of the bed prevent bowing, which is wonderful. It looks great, everyone who's seen it wanted the link to the product, for the price - can't be beat! It would have been more expensive to build this bed out of treated lumber - which I did NOT want to use raising my vegetables! I used branches and trimming and 2 bales of old straw to fill the base, then built it up using raised bed garden soil. Planted 4 banana peppers, four beef steak & purple cherokee tomatoes, dill, lemon balm, 8 marigolds and 8 nasturtiums - everyone has PLENTY of room to grow! I've not yet assembled the 2nd bed I ordered due to stormy weather. Call me crazy, but I didn't want to sit outside playing with metal when it's thundering/lightning. I would advise a blue tooth speaker, cold drink, and a ratcheting screw driver for assembly. You can easily hold the bolts with your fingers on the inside of the bed while screwing the screws from the outside with the ratchet screw driver. The holes line up perfectly - when joining the two sections in the center on each side with tension rods does require a bit of patience - this is just how things work - not an issue with build quality. I also recommend a good stool to sit on so you don't kill your back bending over. The instructions were simple - I can't imagine how anyone would have difficulties. At the end of the day - my bed looks great - will be even better when the plants fill out. :) I plan to purchase a third one for carrots, turnips and kale for August planting (too hot in OK to plant these in the summer)

When I bought these 6x3 raised garden boxes, I read the reviews. I was honestly very pleased to get them and find out they are quite sturdy once they are assembled. I also thought the panels would be razor sharp, but no they are not, as a matter of fact on the longest sides they are rolled and not sharp at all. The ends are sharper but I was still able to assemble the whole thing bare handed, no need for the gloves I had handy. I am an 60 yrs old lady. I was able to build one in an afternoon, lots of rest breaks, and doing chores during the same afternoon. 2 people would have been great but not a must. The instructions could have been better but I made do with the picture diagram they included and used my common sense. But if you have never assembled something like this then here is a couple of tips. 1. Coat the bolt threads with wd-40. Really helps when putting the bolts on, but not a deal breaker. 2. Don't tighten anything down until the whole thing is together. Hand tighten only. Once its together tighten away. 3. Start with the corners first and the middle panels last. If you do the corners first it will be self supporting. Important if you are building this alone. 4. The center braces should be installed in every other hole. (See my photos for placement. ) start at the bottom when installing the rods. I still have yet to fill them but so far I am pleased.

We are replacing our rotting cedar planter boxes w/ these and overall are happy w/ them. Are they easy to construct? It is a time-consuming, tedious process, and the written instruction could be a lot more detailed but we managed. We are in our 70s and each one took about 3-5 hours. They warn you that the edges are sharp and that is true! Wear gloves handing the panels but the nuts and bolts require dexterity so no gloves for that part. They are also huge and will require a lot of fill. We used the wood from our old planters and logs from some trees we had cut down. I think, for the money, these raised beds are a bargin as long as they don't rust.

I bought 8 of these- 4 from Amazon, 4 directly from the manufacturer. Almost all of them arrived with bent corners- easy enough to fix but still, the packaging could be improved. They really need better edge protection in general- lots of dings and chips. 2/8 have small rust spots right out of the package, so doesn’t bode well for longevity. While they are cheap, there are certainly cheaper options out there that are probably equal in quality. They come with extra hardware, which is nice. Ran into a few dud bolts but still had plenty of extra. A bit tedious to assemble alone, but do-able. Structurally seem sturdy enough, just hope the material lasts. Hoping I at least get a few years out of them. If I could do over the assembly, I’d use locktite. I may still go back and add additional cross braces- there were only 4

I thought about the stars and even though I suspect these will get plenty of dents and possibly rust, I want to be fair because the price is right, they look great, they are easy to put together, and make starting a garden so easy. It does take time to put together and pulling the protective plastic off is not all that fun, but their attention to protecting the metal is appreciated. They really need to box it with more corner protection because the box is heavy and after buying 6 of these, the corners take a beating during shipping. Ours still came fine. There were some corners bent but they were easily bent back. Had some scratches on one set which appeared to be packed that way. Again, the price is good and we were ok with it. Others may expect more but you get what you pay for. Our setup is looking nice. The planters have a nice shape. We do not care for the rounded look and these do not have that. We recommend them.

It's amazing what an extra foot of height makes! This item is replacing a one-foot-high wooden bed that has rotted, and the size difference is noteworthy! I went with the taller bed for ease of future gardening and maintenance, but it's still surprisingly large (a happy surprise!) My saint of a sister assembled this for me (me recently out of hospital) by hand (no gloves, no tools save for what was in the kit, bless her!) She did so without incident (save for a minor blood sacrifice which often bodes well for successful completion of projects lol). (NB: please do wear gloves during assembly due to sharp edges). I am going to go back over the 80 (!) nuts which she initially has hand tightened with a power socket /drill to tighten them up before commencing the bed project. She built in in the garage on a sunny day; it did take two of us to lift the completed project out to the yard (tipped sideways through the door). She did remark that she feared that she had built a 'boat in a basement' (built a project too big to leave through available egress points) but it will go through a standard door (in addition to a garage door) with no issues). The bed is reinforced with center wires with small turnbuckles - I appreciate that as some other beds that I've used can become 'floppy' in the center. We will be using the base from the original raised bed that it is replacing, along with large branches (that are not diseased) that are too big for the city landscape recycling program or our small mulcher/chipper. That will save on some of the yards of soil required to fill this bed. A quality product from a quality brand, with easy assembly. Will buy again!
