As someone who owns way too many makeup products for someone who still says “I have nothing to wear,” I’ve learned I gravitate toward the things that are simple, reliable, and don’t require a tutorial to use at 7 a.m. First off, I genuinely love NYX as a brand. They’re one of those lines that consistently hits that sweet spot between affordable and actually good quality, without feeling like you’re sacrificing performance. And this pencil fits right into that. The shade Quartz Queen is what sold me in the first place. It’s this perfect cool-toned nude that just works with my coloring in a way that feels natural but still put together. It’s soft, not harsh, and gives that “enhanced but not overdone” vibe. Texture-wise, it’s creamy and smooth. It glides on without tugging, which I really appreciate, especially with something retractable like this—no sharpening, no mess, just twist and go. It sets down nicely and holds up pretty well throughout the day, which makes it easy to trust once it’s on. Now, I’ll be honest… I don’t even use it the “intended” way most of the time. It started as an eyeliner, but it quietly became one of my favorite lip liners instead. On my lips, it gives that soft cool nude definition that pairs really well with gloss or a more natural lip look. And it blends out nicely without looking patchy or harsh. As an eyeliner, it does the job too—smooth application, decent staying power, and smudge resistance—but I just personally reach for it more as a lip product because it fits my routine better that way. At around $6, the value is honestly kind of ridiculous in a good way. It’s one of those inexpensive staples that ends up staying in your makeup bag way longer than you expected because it just keeps getting used. NYX professional mechanical eyeliner pencil. I love that these eyeliner pencils are retractable and don’t require a sharpener. The color is absolutely stunning, I bought the It’s giving Jade and the green is so bright and beautiful. The liner itself is smooth and draws on like butter. It can be wiped off and smudged, which is great for a smudged look. However, to keep the stunning color in place it is better to set it with a similar colored powder. The pencil is not dry and it is decently water resistant. It comes off easy with a makeup wipe or when washing your face. The pencil is very reasonably priced and almost inexpensive. There is quite the amount of liner inside the pencil. One of the only negatives I have found with these is if you push too hard the pencil will break because of how soft the eyeliner is. I love these liners and they are great to tight line with and to use for adding amazing bright colors to your makeup look. I definitely would recommend these and I will continue to purchase more as I run out as well as any and every color so I can always have all the fun I need.

This pencil is great and glides in nicely. It does break easily so be careful to not have pieces break off. Those black pieces will stain & blacken surfaces. Overall, great coverage and very pigmented.

i don’t want to say it sucks completely bc it definitely lasts as u can see in the pic i drew a heart yesterday and it’s still kinda there. it sets quickly and when u rub it nothing comes off. i’m only giving it 3 stars bc it’s not comfortable on the eyes. i specifically bought this for my waterline and it irritated my eyes a bit and it faded after like 45 minutes. it also made them a little red and i was feeling dry. i use to use this gel liner but the label faded and i can’t find it so i just went for this one and im upset. waste of money IN MY OPINION, not saying it sucks but everyone has their different uses for this it didn’t work for me personally. i find it dumb how some makeup brands don’t make these type of crayon like eyeliner pencils WATERLINE SAFE/comfy as if most ppl didn’t use them IN their waterline. for winged liner almost everyone uses liquid liner so they should at least make these types suitable for ur damn waterline. at least it was cheap so i’m not too mad i definitely won’t repurchase tho bc i wouldn’t really put this to use. buy if u want or dont just know its not waterline safe, it lasts outside ur eye 100% but it also sets fast so depending on how u do ur makeup it u will know if it works well for u or not

I recently started using cream/off-white color eyeliner after a makeup artist recommended it to me. It makes your eyes look open wider. It took me a minute to find this eyeliner, because I do not like the ones that you have to use a sharpener. This eyeliner is retractable, which, to me, is the best type. I had tried two other brands of cream/off-white eyeliner, but the color barely showed on my waterline. This NYX eyeliner is much more pigmented and creamy, making it glide on easily. It’s awful when you get an eyeliner that you have to go over and over your waterline to see any color at all – and when the eyeliner skips it is painful. This NYX eyeliner glides across with no skipping or pressure required. I was very surprised when I checked my makeup at lunchtime; I didn’t have to touch up my eyeliner. It still looked freshly applied. Even more surprising was that it still looked the same when I got home from work in the late afternoon. You can’t beat the price either! The most important thing to me is that after researching, I found that NYX is a “cruelty-free brand” meaning they DO NOT TEST THEIR PRODUCTS ON ANY ANIMALS! I won’t knowingly wear any brand of makeup that uses animals for product testing, regardless of how “great” they may be. I’m so glad this company is pro-animal because they make great eyeliner!!
