Edit: bought 3 times. 2nd time lacked pigment, but they sent me a free replacement and it was good. I got the NYX Mechnical Eyeliner in the onyx (black) shade. It is absolutely stunning! It is definitely washable, not waterproof. This is what I was seeking as I do not like using makeup remover and prefer for all my makeup to wash away in the shower with a gentle facial cleanser. I find that makeup removers can be harsh on skin and can tear some eyelashes out. The NYX eyeliner can smudge throughout the day, but it takes a LOT to smudge. I took two naps, had wind blown in my face, and planted a tree and it remained perfect on my oily eyeliner with no primer. It did not last as long on my waterline, but that's to be expected, probably a few hours max. I haven't worn eyeliner in years now but I remembered recently that I really enjoyed applying it back in the day. I was shocked how easy it was to apply. I remember I used to use a product called Rimmel Scandal Eyes and this NYX eyeliner is incredible comparatively. It is so pigmented yet more smudge resistant. It glides on smoothly and is easy to shape. It is firm and does not seem like it will break. I am very satisfied with this product and highly recommend to anyone looking for a very pigmented pencil eyeliner that is washable yet smudge resistant! Great price as well. ... show more

Intense color and definitely stays on all day. The color is the perfect balance between brown and black. Only issue is the retractable pencil is soft and it does break off. Otherwise, it’s a great eyeliner, easy to apply.

I really wanted to love this eyeliner, but it was no match for my oily eyelids! If your eyelids are not oily at all, maybe this product might work better for you. It seemed okay when I texted it on the back of my hand, but on my eyelids? I looked a little racoonish at the end of the day. I don't even think of rubbed my eyes. It is as if brown had a baby with BOTH gold and silver. They could have called it bronze but that is too warm for this cooler shade. I wanted something subtle that would work with my brown upper lid liner, and MOONSTONE is perfect for lower waterline - it is somehow both cool and warm simultaneously. This is perfection for my green/grey eyes. I do not want to line like a raccoon, but did want more definition. MOONSTONE is it! This brand has the smoothest application on the waterline, and stays. This is the perfect color for your waterline and trying to make your eyes look bigger. It's not too white or too tan. A nice creamy off-white. It applies without discomfort and stays put all day. I'm a liquid liner person so it's hard for me to comment on the chalky/crumbliness as I find most eyeliner pencils annoying in that way. I wouldn't use it for a full look personally.
