It works as a rudder is expected to. It is also very durable and made of strong material. My only complaint is that it doesn’t fit as snug as I’d like. It is tightened as much as I can manage, and still will sometimes shift out of line during basic handling of my trolling motor.

Limits the depth adjustment of the trolling motor making it very awkward to stow when using main motor. It does a fair job of maintaining a track. I have taken my trolling motor off my boat and now use a sea anchor to slow my trolling speed.
