Does what it's supposed to do. You need to wire its remote input to 12V for the unit to turn on, aside from powering the unit up with 12V. I can understand the logic of that design, but it wasn't documented. Wasted some time chasing down that detail. Other than that, it worked as expected.

The xloc88x is really nice and works well for my Acura with Dolby Pro Logic 2. Wired to keep that and it's amazing. 9volt pre outs, my amps are only turned up 1/4 of the way if that. Couldnt really wrap my head around paying $800 for the audio control DM-810.

So the only reason I gave this product 4 stars is because of the inconsistencies with NVX. The product’s pictures that are represented tend to not be accurate. On this model, XLOC24 you can pull power from either the remote or the 12v. I was scratching my head for a while wondering how it was on without a 12v lead. Also, although shown in the picture there is no notch to manage them so it’s dealer’s choice. Second is that no I did not receive a bass knob, some individuals did, however that’s easily dismissible. Now the actual product does work well as intended. It produces a high enough gauge to manage a proper frequency output, and the ground iso does work well. The only thing that does concern is that I wasn’t actually able to get a “clip” off of the device for a proper tune, but that’s fine. All in all not a shabby little LOC. ... show more

So many ways to use this LOC. NVX has done it again. This unit was added to my 2021 KIA K5 GT so I could add aftermarket amps and speakers. Easy to install. The included Bass Knob is a nice touch. The KIA sounds as good as it looksnow!! The 4 gain controls allow you to easily tune the system.

I bought this to put a system in my wife's new car. With today's vehicles the factory radios are very nice and have a lot of features that are user friendly.
