The surface is definitely stainless steel but I have noticed some rusting of the hooks and bolts, which I don't love. Overall, it’s a solid, nice looking cart/stand and is quite functional for my needs. Assembly is pretty basic. I wouldn’t let a child build it without supervision, but most adults should have zero problems. It’s not super heavy- it won’t blow away in an average storm, but moving it isn’t much of a problem for most folks. My issue was the pictograph vs the required screws- I got shorted on the screws required by the directions and had to substitute with shorter (not smaller) left overs. Would I buy is again?
