Nice, rich material. They were thick, though, so they tend to get smelly quickly. You'll want to definitely hang these up to dry so that they aren't touching anything so they dry better

It's honestly hard to find good dish rags at a reasonable price. These are thick, soft and durable. They are definitely cotton. Some have said they are not absorbent and that the water rolls off. The water does seem to lay on top of the rag, but as soon as I squeeze, it absorbs and I've had no issues. They have held up great: no holes, no stretching, still perfectly square. One thing I've learned to do with dish rags is to sew around all the edges before I ever use or wash them. I've had way too many other brands fray with the first washing. I know that's not an option for everyone and I can't say if these would've frayed or not. Either way, I think these are the best dish rags I've ever owned. ... show more

While I was expecting dish towels, I got dish rag size towels. I ended up keeping them because I love the color and they seem to be made well. Just remember size if you order. There are several types of towels listed and I should have read the size too. Still a win for me.
