I bought these In black and I use it in my baby’s room. It’s dark enough to darken the summer night light and it’s very quiet to draw. I will be getting more for my other rooms.

Works well. Wish they were maybe an inch longer as they don’t completely cover my window panes. But they do block the heat nicely.

Setting up was relatively easy. The tape in the kit is a nice touch. Material looks good and quality is ok. I ll question the blackout part. I have enough light to illuminate the room. The curtain is only 1/10 inch from the wall and covers 4 inches on all sides. And still has enough diffused light. The pictures are from evening light with window facing east. Morning glow around the curtain looks like a bright ring during eclipse. Be advised, it will block a lot of light but not all. And you may still need regular curtains on the sides. Weight wise, looks are deceiving. I have a fan in the room and found this moving with breeze with windows closed. The aluminum weight provided is not enough weight. At this point I am not sure if I would buy a curtain like this. It works , but not the way I want it to. Quality: seems good. No issues in the material.

(Review for the second one I ordered) I received the shade, the box was gone one end of the surrounding plastic was torn open and all the hardware was gone. Returned via UPS, Amazon reordered another and prior to receiving this one I received notice the package was damaged and they returned it to the sender, I was informed I would get a refund, today I received notice from Amazon the shade was delivered, it wasn’t so I spent the next hour and a half trying to get in contact with Amazon, after getting through to a representative she informed me she issued a refund that should be credited back to my account in a specified time. Needless to say I won’t be ordering anymore of these shades. This is an amazing blind for the price, durable, very nice looking, very easy to install and complete black out that we were looking for, you won’t be disappointed, oh and mounted above the window nicely.

Less blackout than Walmart brand vinyl miniblinds and black out curtains. The first picture is taken without camera adjustments at 2p behind double thickness curtains. One is of the blind without the curtains showing significant light lineeakage around the perimeter. The final shot was taken at 11pm at night. My camera did adjust that one but was still able to capture details in a totally closed room. They function fine. I tried a 1" wider blinds but could not fit it into the brackets. You must install it outside your window to minimize the light leakage but the vinyl will still let significant light though.

We ordered several of these shadesback in Jun 2026 and received them quickly. I didn't get a chance to install then for a few weeks, at which time I found out that 1 package was missing the harware kit. I sent their support team an email on a Saturday afternoon requesting a replacement hardware package. On Monday morning I had a response: they asked for my Amazon order number, and a photo of the package. I sent the requested info and the next day got a response that they were shipping the hardware - it was delivered that Thursday! As for the shades themselves: installation is straightforward, although time-consuming. I'm installing them in our RV and they have to be slightly adjusted to fit inside the valences around the windows. Once installed they do a great job of darkening the area. We recommend them wholeheartedly: don't be afraid to contact their support team if you find you're missing some pieces!

Arrived bent, kinked, and damaged. The middle tube is so thin and flimsy that it got wrecked in transit. Had to use pliers to turn the ends from ovals back to close enough circles to get the rollers in, had to bend several sections of the middle a lot to get it back to straight enough to roll at all. The included chain is less than half the length of the shade so had to buy and replace that as well. Super strongly do NOT recommend, even on sale. Update a week later - Seller reached out and offered a full refund which we got today. Bumping from 1 star to 3 star for the seller taking care of customers. Still wouldn't recommend the product unless they drastically improve the protectiveness of how they ship it.
