  • top of the line, rock bottom price!
Flavor Name: Vanilla Size: 62 Servings (Pack of 1)
This stuff tastes great! it mixes exceptionally well, its got a high protein content per serving and it's cheap to boot! This is seriously the #1 best value protein powder supplement on all of Amazon. No matter what it is that I buy from Amazon, I take my time researching each and every product before I buy it so that I get the best product possible for the most reasonable price possible! Please notice, I did not say cheapest price possible. IF I wanted the cheapest price I would probably end up with crappy product 9/10 times.... but you cannot go wrong with this protein purchase, unless of course you don't like vanilla or no matter what you just don't like protein powder. Some other notes: I have recently been trying to lose some weight and that is infinitely harder without my local gym being open. I am not the type of person who goes on a diet, EVER... I like milkshakes and Icecream way and I mean WAY too much. Like breakfast/lunch/dinner/before bed snack/midnight snack too much.... seriously... I even mix protein powder with my milk shakes... I did give up the milkshake diet in order to decrease the covid-19lbs I put on....SO as part of my keto BHB + apple vinegar 3pill breakfast each morning, I have a triple scoop one of these shakes, with 10oz skim milk, nice and thick is the way to go. It easily tides me over to lunch. probably 3 days a week I will have another 2-3 scoop shake for dinner, and a small light snack before bed (usually yogurt+granola). It has been almost 3 weeks and I'm almost back to my size 33" waist (down from a size 36" stuffed to the brim, probably closer to a 38"). during this time I have had 3 different protein powders. this one was the cheapest of the 3, the only one of the 3 that was not a name brand and happened to be the tastiest as well as the most effective. please notice once again, exercise was not listed in my routine. not that I dont do it (ok, well i dont really), but my job is now pretty much my desktop pc for 10 hours a day....the combo of the keto pills + apple cider vin pill + this protein = weightloss extreme! Definitely worth spending your money on this. and here's a clue for any other guys out there who are trying to lose their own covid-19lbs.... all you need to do to lose the pounds is pack on the protein and dont worry so much about the fats you're consuming, but definitely watch the carbs. I dont eat many carbs as it is, so avoiding them isnt difficult. But if it is for you, i say find a way to (or an amount of) substitute this protein for whatever your bane is. Protein is the key for males to losing weight easily and quickly. it literally drops off. Some days all i have is this shake,... 3 or 4 of them (always a minimum of 2 heaping scoops often 3 heaps). i never mix it with milk more than twice in a day, so if i have 3 or 4, I use water for the last two. This might be bad for me...but whatever, it works. just make sure you drink plenty of water, this stuff makes you thirsty anyway so it shouldnt be a problem. and as a side bonus, doing normal fix-it stuff around the house has like double or triple the effect on muscle growth. my lady couldnt be happier...flat tummy again and spinch-eater's Popeye arms! ... show more

  • Great value!
Flavor Name: Milk Chocolate Size: 60 Servings (Pack of 1)
Flavor 4/5: It starts out overtly sweet then mellows out to a pleasant artificial chocolate flavor then it has a slight chemically aftertaste. It’s not terrible and is good enough to drink everyday without getting tired of it. Texture/consistancy 5/5: it mixes well no clumps. It froths very easily and it gives it a creamier mouth feel. Some people might not like this but I enjoy it. It mixes easily enough that you might be able to avoid the frothing by not shaking as much. Ingredients/value 5/5: I am unaware of any tested or untested whey isolate at this price point. This is a steal. This stuff is great. The only protein I enjoy more flavor wise is ON gold standard but it’s a blend and it costs the same as this product unless it’s on sale at Costco. ON also makes me bloated. So unless ON is on sale at Costco I buy this cheaper, cleaner product. ... show more

  • Not for me …. acne
Flavor Name: Vanilla Size: 62 Servings (Pack of 1)
I gave this product five stars, although it wasn’t for me. I have hormonal acne that tends to flareup and unbeknownst to me substantial amounts of whey isolate contribute to it. I drank this everyday post workout for about a month every day and now I’m having cystic acne in areas that haven’t bothered me since 2020. I gave this product five stars because it’s not the products fault. I mixed 8 ounces of water in a Nutra bullet and after four or five seconds, this stuff was creamy deliciousness. Almost tasted like a vanilla shake! I Also went up in my bench and squat weight while taking this. I don’t think it was a coincidence. I think it was reaching my protein goals daily. Really sad that I can’t use it. I wanted to warn you out there that have the same problems as me while still letting everyone know that this stuff is fantastic. It’s hard to find low-carb, high protein, and good taste all in one. ... show more

  • Almost perfect with one "hidden" and often overlooked ingredient problem
Flavor Name: Choc Peanut Butter Size: 58 Servings (Pack of 1)
I have graduate level degrees in physiology and molecular biology, and I have been consistently involved in weight training for the last 20yrs. I've used Nutricost brand for various supplements and have never been disappointed. Their Whey Protein Isolate is no different. Great taste (have tried chocolate, mocha, and chocolate PB), excellent mixability, and one of the best values in terms of price per gram of protein. The one downside you need to be aware of is the sodium content of this product. Most of their flavors are coming in at 200-300mg salt per one scoop. After comparisons, I found that to be on the high end of what you would get from other top protein alternatives. It took me a couple of months of having relatively large day to day weight fluctuations to realize something was affecting my water retention. I maintain a strict diet that doesn't change much from day to day. Gaining 6-7lbs over a day or two, only to lose it a few days later is not normal. I don't use this protein every single day, but instead use it if I'm running late in the morning or often times at night if I haven't hit my protein macro goal for the day. I would go a couple days of not using it, but then maybe have 2-3 scoops the next day. then off for another day or so, and repeat. The salt was wreaking havoc with my fluid retention. If you are sensitive to salt, looking to stay on a low sodium diet, or have blood pressure issues, I would consider looking to another protein supplement. Otherwise, any more than 1-2 scoops in a day is probably not a great idea unless you are closing tracking your sodium intake and can offset it somewhere else in your diet. If you are using this protein regularly, you need to be sure you are hydrating appropriately to help flush the excess sodium and avoid fluid retention. ... show more
