I have had my NutriChef vacuum sealer, model pkvs20sts for 3 days now and I had already sealed 57 items before putting it away. We prepared a spot to store it and all the sealing bags so I put it away and it's new spot in it's box, 2 hours later I dragged it out again and sealed 10 more things. It's fun, works well and it is extremely simple to use. The only things you want to watch is that you try to keep the inside of the bag is clean as you possibly can where it's going to be sealed, to help me in this I tried to order bags that had a wide opening so it was easier to get things past it without getting it wet or contaminated. it came with a roll that I started using first and they are very versatile because you can cut it any length you want. Keeping with the wide opening I would imagine for me the best role to pick would be one that's really long opening wise and then I can cut it any length I want allowing easy access to put in whatever it is I'm sealing. I purchase a lot of bags which I like better for convenience because you don't have to cut them, seal them before you can put anything in them and they are what I have. Another thing to watch for is don't get the bag with a wrinkle in it where the seal will go as it will let in air. I only sealed three bags with something wet, prepared tuna fish for sandwiches. The sealer will run the vacuum until it reaches a point where it automatically turns on the seal mode fusing the bag shut, but I chose with the tuna fish to watch the liquid start to move towards the machine and then I hit the seal button manually myself so as to not let any liquids potentially go into the vacuum. Being a man, I didn't read all the instructions so I don't know if this is proper or not but it's what I've chosen to do. It's so fast and easy to use for many things I can see using it most the time instead of zip bags or storage containers. I don't drink wine so the wine stopper is untested at this point. I'm excited to find out what the canisters are so I can try using those. If you get one I hope you enjoy it as much as I'm enjoying mine. ... show more

I bought this so we could buy in bulk after months of COVID and no end in sight. Tonight I sealed 15 lbs of ground beef in minutes, 1 lb portions for our household and 1/2 lb portions for my disabled sister. Works great on chicken breasts too. Beats wrapping in Press n Seal & foil. 1) beef and chicken frozen for 6 months, no freezer burn 2) thaws faster than foil wrapped 3) doesn't leak when thawing in the fridge! Fits well in my cupboard (was stored in a drawer before remodel), not heavy at all, cleans up well. As another reviewer said, the lid has to 'snap' down on both sides and it takes a little practice, including cutting bags to the right size. I buy the 8" roll (I have a dispenser with cutter), the 6" x 10" precut and only occasionally use a 11" roll, and all 3 sizes seal very well. Doesn't work for bread or pastries because it smashes them. Haven't used for liquids but am considering trying it for soups. I wouldn't hesitate buying another of this brand, it's a workhorse! ... show more

After 10weeks, the latch on the right side that locks the top down broke. The sealer couldn’t be used. Initially, I submitted 3 online requests for warranty service on the NutriChef website and got no responses. I continued to pursue getting assistance. I finally contacted Pyle customer service at PyleUSA.com and got action. Nutrichef by Pyle shipped me a replacement product.
