  • Great double induction burner!
Style: Double
Very sleek and nice looking. Bought it on a whim, turned out to be just what I wanted. Fans work great and are not too loud. Buttons work well, leds are bright. Function buttons are easy to navigate. Warms up my cast iron pan very very quickly. And the ability to plug it in anywhere is AMAZING! 10/10 ... show more

  • Best solution while waiting for kitchen renovation to be completed!
Style: Double
I purchased this induction cooker while waiting for my kitchen renovation to be completed, and it was a life saver. Everyone in my household loved it, especially since it allowed us to avoid ordering food! Our meals were well cooked. It was safe to use around children and pets. With adult supervision, I would allow 9+ year olds use it. No flames and the surface is reasonable warm. ... show more

  • Setting the right temperature is a bit tricky, but I'll get used to it
Style: Double
This double cooktop works well enough, and I'm glad that my kitchen will now be gas-free except for the rare occasions when I'll use the oven. Eventually I want to get a full induction stove, but I'm not ready for that yet, so this is a good temporary measure. Having this cooktop also lets me figure out what I'll want in a future permanent purchase. The hardest thing for me so far is figuring out what temperature to set things at, because it's all just numerical, with large jumps in temperature between the choices. For example, the least hot setting is 140º and the next step up is 210º. That's a big jump. There's also no explanation about why there are fry/steam/water functions yet the temperature choices are all the same. Why three different functions to get the same temperatures? With the gas burners, I'm used to seeing the flame and choosing a temperature depending on how much flame is coming out, and you can make very incremental changes. Now I'm just looking at a bunch of numbers and have no idea what I should set it at. I burnt the bottom of a saucepan when I was heating up some milk, for example. But I expect over time I'll get better at that. A contractor told me that there are full induction stoves that mimic gas burners by changing the intensity of blue lights on the display. I expect I'll prefer something like that when I go full induction stove. The touch buttons are very sensitive. On more than one occasion I've wiped the stovetop and accidentally activated something. It's also annoying that you can't really turn the thing completely off without unplugging it. Why not have an On/Off button that actually switches it off?! ... show more

  • Work well, easy cleanup
Style: Double
I liked the quick heating of this unit, it boiled water in about 2 minutes from cold. Dinner cleanup was quick since the top is glass. I almost forgot to mention the size of the unit is much larger, allowing for 2 full size pots, vs most other 2 burner cooktops. Energy use is reasonable, especially since the pot heats directly without heating an element first, and that's why it heats up more quickly. There is also a lower setting for cooking slowly, which I haven't tested yet. I can say that I tested both boiling and fry and it does work with cast iron cookware, exactly as advertised. Safety lock is also a nice feature to prevent accidentally turning on the burners. ... show more

  • I would not recommend buying this, The Warranty is effectively useless.
Style: Double
We purchased this on the 5th of February, 2021. For the most part, we've been very impressed with its performance. It looks nice. It's easy to clean. However, on the 20th of March, 2021, we attempted to heat the device up and the fan made a horrible grinding noise. When I turned the device over, I found that the base had been melted on the side I was attempting to heat up. This was the side we used most primarily, but at no point should any electronic melt itself. I contacted Amazon, who gave me outdated contact information for Nutrichef. When pressed, they provided updated contact information, so I submitted a warranty service request. Nutrichef is owned by Pyle. If you know Pyle, you're aware of their reputation. I did not know this when I purchased the cooktop. I contacted Pyle, they suggested that I contact Amazon for a return, which obviously isn't possible because we were 16 days out of the return policy. Pyle reluctantly suggested that I ship the cooktop to them for repair at my cost. The warranty form provided by Pyle requires a credit card number in order to charge you for return shipping and any incident non-warranty costs up to $60. EFFECTIVELY, IT IS LESS EXPENSIVE TO PURCHASE THE SAME COOKTOP AGAIN. Which we will not be doing, since the first proved to be a FIRE HAZARD. The warranty is worthless. This cooktop is dangerous. I cannot recommend that you buy it, despite the otherwise stellar reviews on Amazon. I recommend dealing with a more reputable company than Pyle. ... show more
