Some years ago, a family member gifted me one of the small personal blenders that Nutribullet makes, and so I already have a great opinion of this brand. And this 8-cup blender completely exceeds my expectations. I have another really good quality blender that I've had for many years that costs more than this one and, in some ways, I prefer this one. When I assembled this blender, I really liked how easily and securely everything fit together. It all just snapped and clicked right into place. The base is not heavy, and it is easy to pick up with two hands. The base is also tall, and the blender pitcher holds 8 cups, and this design gives the blender a height that makes it look really great on the countertop. And because the pitcher holds 8 cups, there is ample room to use it to make whatever comes to mind. I feel inspired to use it to try to make things a bit outside of the box in the future such as soups. The blender comes with a nice recipe booklet which can be great for getting ideas. So far, I've just used it for smoothie making and I'm thrilled with the results. I blended chopped pecans, chia seeds, yoghurt, fresh pineapple chunks, honey, barley green powder, water and a bag of mixed frozen fruit and the result was a smoothie that was perfectly blended, light, fluffy and almost dessert like in texture. Although the blender offers the option of manually choosing the speed, my favorite feature is the auto cycle because when using it, the machine just sort of takes control and takes charge and the result is a perfect smoothie. I want to preface this by saying my previous "blender" was the small nurtibullet they made many years ago which basically only makes enough of something for one serving. It's done me really well over the years though so I started to gain a bit of brand loyalty to nutribullet. That's why I was really excited when I had the chance to get the new nutribullet SmartSense blender! I am a simple person, I really only make smoothies in my blenders so that's mainly what my review is geared toward. Reading the manual it has the ability to do nut and oat milks as well as nut butters and such. This makes this device a very versatile tool and I will definitely attempt the nut butters at some point while I own this thing (I already own a great nut milk tool). It's got a "smart sense" button, a standard blend button, and a pulse button. You can also change the speeds when doing the blending as well. So far I've been sticking to the smart sense button because it sort of senses what and how much you have in the blender and blends it accordingly. I've made a multitude of smoothies and honestly it's made them super smooth each time, high quality smoothies. I really don't have any complaints with this blender at all, I look forward to blending new things with it. Overall I am extremely happy with this blender. It was bigger than I expected but I didn't read that it was a full size one so that's on me (I'm also just used to the standard small nutribullet blenders). I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for an upgrade to their old blender or even people looking to get a blender for the first time, I can tell this will last a long time for me as did my old small nutribullet. ... show more

    • Works Great- but It's HUGE

So this really is an amazing blender. It does everything it says it does, and I could probably use it as a portable wood chipper. But holy smokes is it big... my old countertop blender is only 2/3 the size of this beast. Now, it's gonna make a LOT of margaritas next summer... like I'm going to be putting some of my friends under the table after the 2nd batch... but for purposes of making the occasional smoothie (I rarely make them), it's really overkill. IF you are a smoothie person, and you do a LOT of stuff with a blender, then this is your dream blender. For me, it's a whole lot of overkill, and definitely takes up too much room on the counter (so it's taking up a lot of space in a cabinet). This blender is primarily used for smoothies in my kitchen, so my review focuses on that, though it’s versatile enough for much more. According to the manual, it’s capable of making nut and oat milks, nut butters, and even turning grains into flour. I’m excited to try making nut butter with it sometime, as I already have another device for nut milk. The blender has a “smart sense” mode, a standard blend button, and a pulse option. It also allows for speed adjustments during blending. I’ve mostly been using the smart sense mode, which adjusts the blending based on the ingredients and quantity, resulting in consistently smooth, high-quality smoothies. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this blender. It’s a bit larger than expected, but that’s more due to my previous experience with compact models. If you’re looking for an upgrade or a first-time blender, I’d definitely recommend this one—it seems built to last, just like my old Nutribullet did. This model comes with a 64 oz. pitcher, a tamper, user guide, and recipe book, and its 1400-watt motor gives it great power. In addition to smoothies, this blender tackles tougher tasks with ease, like crushing ice to a smooth consistency for drinks, whipping cream in seconds, and blending thick, creamy milkshakes (even with hard frozen ice cream).
