The other reviews that mention the tight toe box and intense lacing are not wrong. I almost didn't order these because of the reviews but decided to try for myself. When I received them, I tried them on and the reviews were 100% correct - you have to unlace virtually the whole boot and once on they were oddly tight. HOWEVER, as soon as I stood up and walked around they were immensely comfortable. I gambled and took these on a 10-day trip to Iceland with no breaking-in time... and they were perfect! The only time I ever had any discomfort was while sitting in the car between hikes. It's the strangest thing. Still, I would definitely recommend them despite the issues because they're so comfy, great quality, and good looking on top of all of that. ... show more

The boots run a size small. On the Brannock device I measure a 10AA, and the size 10.5 barely fit in length. I’m exchanging them for a size 11. The try on indicated they are ultra cushioned boots, sturdy and comfortable. The real proof will be in the wear, though, of course. Update: The size 11 fit like a dream and I wore them to an all day music festival on the beach. Quite comfortable for walking, did not allow in sand. Comfortable for standing 12 hours, as much as any shoe can be. ... show more

Definitely good quality product, but runs small. My normal size is 7.5, and I got a size 9, I'm glad I did because this is small!!! Feels comfortable in the toes, but the top of the boots are kinda bulky and squeezes against the top of my feet. My feet are narrow and skinny. I can't imagine how an overweight person would feel with these boots, as they literally squeeze your feet. I removed one star because these boots are really tight against the feet. It's really hard to put your feet in them. Otherwise, great material, looks pretty. ... show more

    • Run small & scratch easily
I have many pair of Sorel, and these run a lot smaller than other styles. I normally wear a 7 or 7.5 in their boots, ordered an 8, but would have needed an 8.5 in this boot. Cute and comfy otherwise. To be expected from Sorel. The leather is super easy to scratch/scuff. Definitely not as durable as all my other Sorel boots. ... show more

    • Nice but extremely uncomfortable
Let me say to start with that the boots look great, light weight and seem to be well constructed. I’ve been wearing Doc Martens for last 30 years and figured it was time to try something else. The boots are made in Vietnam (sure beats China) and 9.5 is extremely tight for me to the point where just 2 minutes in the boots made me want to rip them off. I thought my Salomon trail runners were tight, these were crushing, then switched to thinner socks and just painful still, returning these. Now the cuffs on the boots? Mystery because they look new and have cuffs / scratches so if you want smooth surface, not your boots. Might try a size larger, not convinced yet. ... show more
