Overall: We got this chair for our nursery and my first impression is it will be a comfy, go-to spot for nursing, rocking baby to sleep, reading, snuggling, etc. The fabric is soft but seems durable, the gliding action is very smooth, the back is tall enough to support your head, and chair is cushy but firm/supportive. It seems well built and good quality. I considered the automatic recline upgrade, but am glad I went with this version for the cost savings and no worry about the longevity of any electronic parts. I’m hopeful we’ll get many years out of this chair! Fit: The chair fits my 6’2” husband perfectly. I’m 5’7” and can just touch to the ground to glide. Gliding doesn’t take much though-I can do it even with my legs up (seat is wide enough that I can sit with both legs curled up, which I like!). The arm rests are a bit low, so will need a pillow/support for nursing. Manual recline: The initial reclining action is pretty abrupt to raise the footrest, but once the footrest is up you can easily lean the backrest back or up. It does take some effort to press the footrest back down, which I could see being a bit difficult immediately postpartum, but not so hard that it’s a dealbreaker for me. ... show more

Our ivory manual glider fits our nursery perfectly! It arrived in 2 pieces and was so quick & easy to assemble. The comfort, color and size is exactly what I was hoping for in a glider. It's good quality and I'd definitely recommend this piece of furniture for your space. 10/10.

I love the chair. But for $800+ tax I was disappointed to find it broken when we opened the box. The chair itself is extremely comfortable and looks exactly as pictured. Edit: the seller reached out and corrected the situation! I do believe the damage occurred in transit.

I was very excited to receive this glider for our nursery and thought it would be a great purchase based on the reviews. However, it is extremely difficult to push the footrest back into place to get out of this chair while pregnant. Also, this chair is very large and my feet cannot reach the floor to rock it. We are going to return it. UPDATE - I am very impressed with the customer service I received from Nurture&. They reached out right away and offered us a full refund. This chair is OK to sit in, however, when you use it as a recliner, it’s really hard to get out of especially with a sleeping baby. It’s very loud and if you have a sleeping baby that you’re ready to put down in the crib, good luck, because it takes a lot of strength to put the recliner back down with your legs.
