I got this topper to go on a very firm mattress I’m using while visiting a family member for a couple of months. It was not the first one I ordered, because I thought that a more expensive one would be better. That one turned out to be a piece of junk that did not inflate like memory foam is supposed to. I was able to get it back in the box, that’s how much of a dud that one was. I found this one for literally half the price, and it is perfect. Firm, but squishy at the same time. It’s very comfortable and I did not experience the smell some people mentioned. It reached the full four inches of thickness in a couple of hours. Lesson learned… higher cost isn’t always higher quality. If you’re looking for a comfortable and affordable topper, get this one. ... show more

I can definitely tell a difference when I sleep in a bed that does not have this pad on it. I have a lot of chronic body pain and I would wake up so much through the night, especially my hips due to side sleeping, but this thing really helps me sleep better through the night.

I have an expensive memory foam mattress which was to firm. I did not sleep well and would wake up with back pain and still tired. I purchased the Zenus cooling mattress with doubt and thought I would have to return it. NOT!!! I love it!! No more back pain, I sleep through the night and wake up refreshed! It did slide a bit but easy to adjust and or put a blanket or there material under it so it doesn't slide. I bought this for our guest bed and it’s wonderful. My guests have said they sleep very comfortably and love the thickness. It came packaged rather small but unfolded and fluffed up in no time. There was no strong odor when I took it out to place on the bed, which I am thankful for.

Ordered about 6 months ago, and its OK. Part of my opinion may be biased, because we sleep on an old Ikea Futon (Beddinge), and I purchased this topper in hopes of making an awful mattress feel better for a few months until we get a "real" bed. I'm 30-ish, and have never had back issues etc, but noticed a loss in quality of sleep, tossing and turning more, and pin pointed this to the firmness of my futon mattress. This is my first memory foam experience. I'd have to say, it felt nice the first couple nights. There is a chemical smell (not horrible, but not great), when you receive the mattress. I believe the instructions say to let it air out for 24 hours or so before use. The scent lingered for a week or so, although not overpowering after that first 24 hour period. Again, first memory foam or topper experience, but I feel like this sleeps hot. We live in Southern California. When we got it in January, it felt a bit warmer, but now that it's summer, it's retains heat (like a pillow you can't flip over during the night). My husband notices a difference too. I don't like to be hot when I sleep, but he sweats even when it's cool out most of the time. The foam seems to have held up decently, no stains or rips yet. The blue part separated from the white section a little bit on a corner, but I'm sure that was from me being rough readjusting, and really makes no difference to the functionality of the topper. I ordered a full, we have a full size futon and it's a few inches short both length and width. I am mixed on the review. As we are close to moving, I am researching "real" mattresses - which is completely confusing and terrifying as I'm starting at ground zero, but I am learning a lot. I can say this mattress does have decent response for being memory foam. It's not 'bouncy' but the foam recovers relatively quickly. I have not noticed any permanent compressed areas or anything either. I will say from my limited mattress experience, this does seem very soft, and you sink in decently. I am 5' and about 120lbs - fairly uniform throughout, I feel like this is fairly soft. My hip sinks in deeper than my upper body, so I think part of what I've noticed with me not liking the topper as much anymore is that my spine is off during the night. Some people this might be good if it's softer, others probably not. I assume if you're heavier, you'd 'sink' more into the topper. Pros: held up well (no staining or tearing), decent memory foam response. Cons: sleeps hot, specs seem to be off (too small in length and width), chemical smell for first few days. ... show more
