The deck is fine, but the tucks are stiff even after I loosen the kingpin. The griptape is a bit sloppy. Bearings are crunchy. Save your money. For $20 more you could buy a Santa cruze complete at a substantially higher quality. Good starter board for a kid, but not for $80. Would not recommend.

My teenage daughter loves this skateboard and has used it often. I'm happy she goes outside to play instead of playing with electronics inside. It's well made and comfortable to ride. The only thing she would like is the wheels to be a bit thicker. Otherwise, a great buy.

I have been very happy. I am an adult who is getting back into skating but I skated many years ago. Right off the bat they give you a free tool. I can't stress enough to use the skate tool and adjust the trucks and wheels to your liking and skill. USE THE SKATE TOOL. If I just took the skateboard and just skated with it as-is, I definitely wouldn't like it as I felt the trucks and wheels were both overtightened so I definitely loosened them to my liking. Maybe good for a real beginner child to be really tight but I had to loosen them and now I really enjoy the skateboard way more. I even removed the risers because I prefer to be lower to the ground for better stability for me. Here are my pros and con. Pros: #1. Very nice quality that is comparable to my Element skateboard. #2. Very maneuverable. The board is concave more than my Element board so I feel like it is way more maneuverable with turning. I can only speak for the wood version but the axle aren't as wide as my Element trucks. At first I was little bit bothered by that but it is giving me more maneuverability with a little bit more narrower. It is trading off some stability for more maneuverability. That is also why I removed the riser for more stability. With the removed risers, I don't get any wheel bite. No issue there. #3. Very skateboard trick friendly. Even though I am a beginner, I am using this skateboard more than my Element because I can do tricks better on it due to the concave shape. I am much better at ollies with the Apollo board than my other skateboard. The shape is more aggressive for me so I can maneuver and ollie better. Lighter weight trucks should also help with ollies. #4. Wheels are fast. Nowhere near to my Landyacht cruiser wheels but the cruiser costs lot more and cruisers will definitely naturally be faster. The Apollo wheels bearings are very comparable to my Element skateboard. Maybe the Element bearings are a smidge faster but not quite noticeable. #5. Get a skate tool with the skateboard. Cons? #1. I agree with another poster who brought up the warning label sticker. It left residue. I am not even going to try to remove it. I simply took the Apollo free sticker and just smacked it on the residue. With more improvement, I am going to take it to the skatepark so I am naturally going scuff up and scratch up the bottom of the board so sticker residue doesn't matter to me much but still. Put on better warning sticker that leaves no residue. #2. Less stability with a narrower truck but like I said before it is a tradeoff with more maneuverability. Someone may be bothered by that but I am fine with it. It just rides differently than my other skateboard. I am definitely not going to swap out the trucks. I would give 4.5 stars for this skateboard at this price point. I have fallen into the skateboarding trap as I now have skateboards, cruisers and even a longboard. Enjoying them all. I also highly recommend pads and helmet for skateboards. To me it is a must especially for skateboard tricks or skateparks and being lesser experienced. I took a big fall with the Apollo skateboard and attempting a boneless flip (accidentally landed primo and fell. Too soon to attempt at my level). I was so happy that I got the pads and helmet. Saved my wrist.
