This rug is nice, and I’m glad I kept it. I did consider returning it because it is thinner than I anticipated. I purchased a 1/4” thick rug pad for underneath it and that made all the difference. Also it took about a week for the edges to relax and flatten. Without the rug pad, this rug slid around and felt cheap. With the rug pad it stayed in place and now feels plush and perfect. Definitely one of the more inexpensive rugs available ($62 in April 2020). I am happy and pleased with this purchase. The rug was packaged nicely and after vacuuming, fluffed up nice and pretty. It’s not super soft, but given the low price, it’s still softer than expected. It has a weird, “new” smell but it’s not overpowering and I imagine it’ll dissipate quickly. It looks nice in our home. I absolutely love this rug and how it helped pull everything together in my little guy’s nursery! I’ve had this rug for three years now and love that that it was able to go with his new “big boy” room we just finished decorating as well! It’s a great neutral rug with a pattern that helps add a little bit of fun to the space! As far as cleaning goes any shag rug is going to be a bit harder to clean because of the high pile but I didn’t find this one to be any more difficult than the other shag rugs I’ve owned! I love that this rug rolls out perfectly from delivery, lays flat and doesn’t slide/slip/move at all! I’ve purchased dozens of rugs from Amazon and the quality of the nuLOOM rugs can’t be matched! I purchased this rug over three years ago now, and it's holding up pretty well with minimal effort. The section of it that doesn't get walked on (beneath the desk) is still as white and clean as the day I bought it. The rest of the rug is a bit coarser now from so much walking and use in the living room... I don't vacuum as frequently as I should and I've never once made the effort to shampoo or hand-wash parts of the rug... If I had, it would be in better condition today, but I'm not that nit-picky about it, especially since the rug is very affordable (~$100 for a 6.5 foot x 9 foot). I thought I'd just get a new rug at the end of our lease here, but since it's holding up so well, we'll probably take it with us when we move next year. And if we do end up getting a new rug for a different color or different size, I'll be checking in with this brand first. ... show more
