I had been searching for a soft, but not fluffy or shaggy rug. I decided to purchase this one and it did not disappoint. It will be placed on carpet. Firm, but at the same time soft. This is a 9.5ft long rug. I would not recommend for a floor because it is slippery. If you would like it on the floor, I would recommend those sticky things that you can place under the rugs so that they don't slip on the floor. The pattern is really nice and neutral. The pile is very short, probably best for hallway use but definitely not soft on bare feet. You will need rug grippers or carpet tape as the underside of the rug doesn't have a rubber grip backing.

Very nice looking runner rug. I like the design, its softness, easiness to vacuum. I love the fact that corners aren't "raising" up, which bothered me with my previous runner. I highly recommend this one. If it is not noted anywhere, this runner is rather thin than thick, bottom is a little stiff, but surface (the top side) is very soft and nice. It feels and seems like a cheap rug, and for $40 (4x6) I guess it can be considered cheap. Though the value is clearly lacking. No non-slip backing and the color is definitely darker than the pictures show. This might be a return.

Unfortunately, the quality of this rug is on par or below what you pay for. Not sure if I’m missing a detail in the description, but this is very thin, the pile is not tight and the quality generally isn’t up to par with what our other NuLoom rugs have been. Nice looking area rug in a hard to find square size. It’s on the thin size, but that’s what I was looking for to make it easier for my robot vacuum to clean. The pattern is dark enough to hide the dirt that my 4 dogs track in, but not so dark that it makes the room look small.
