I am so happy with this purchase! Great price and well made it works perfectly in my little, living room apartment. It’s also soft to the touch for a jute rug. I do recommend a rug pad to prevent slipping. My dog Albie approves.

The first time I purchased this rug it came and when I unwrapped it the only thing I noticed was a slight grassy scent similar to dried hay. I put it on top of a rug pad and was very happy. The dogs loved it, I got lots of compliments on it, and it worked for its purpose as an indoor entry rug. When it was starting to look a little worn I decided to reorder it, because I was so happy with the first one. The second one arrived and had dirt literally falling off of it. Had to vacuum it for about 20 minutes and sand/dirt continued to fall out of it for days. It had a very strong odor, and was damp, I suspect it was moldy. I'm so disappointed in the lack of quality control. Because I use it as an entry rug I anticipated having to replace it as it wore out, but the second one wore out much faster and was coming apart at the seams. After reading reviews it seems like this is a common occurrence for the manufacturer - That there's a lack of quality control and their rugs often arrive smelling mildewy/moldy and with dirt chunks. I'm overdue to replace this rug, and have not decided what I'm going to do. I don't like the idea of gambling whether or not I will get a good rug this time or another one of the poor quality ones. ... show more
