I purchased this rug just over four years ago. Suffice to say, it was a great purchase. I was a little concerned when I ordered it about how it would wear. After four years, I am not disappointed in the durability of this rug. I have two of these rugs, both are in a high traffic area. Over the years, neither of them has shown any signs of wear or staining. The rugs are very comfortable to walk on without shoes, and the rugs are just the right thickness. I have a table on the one in the picture, but I also have a smaller one in the kitchen that stays put with no problem. I really love the woven neutral look of these rugs. An added bonus is that they are very forgiving if something gets spilled on them. I use a little water to clean up the spill, let it dry, and the rug is as good as new. Didn’t realize how much it would shed. I’m constantly having to vacuum. Also, don’t buy if you have a robot vacuum. It is tearing up the edges. Pretty rug and great price but I wouldn’t buy it again.

    • The smell is AWFUL and doesn't go away

Buyer beware - mildewed rug that smells up your whole house and absolutely ZERO customer service from NuLoom. Shipping was super fast and the rug arrived in 2 days. We opened it immediately and were overwhelmed by the smell of mildew. The rug seemed reasonably dry as we rolled it off the cardboard tube, but the tube was wet and disintegrated as we pulled the rug away. We hoped it would air out and that the smell was mostly from the nasty carboard tube. We hung it in a spare room, cracked a window, and placed fans blowing on the rug to air it out. After a week, it smelled even worse and we started noticing the smell in the hallway outside the room. We read the instructions on their website for addressing odor and per their directions put it outside in the sunlight to air out, bringing it back in at night. We gave up after few days and threw it in the garage and emailed customer service to request a return label and a refund. No reply, but after nearly 2 weeks of sitting in the garage - one week where it was below freezing the whole time, the rug FINALLY doesn't smell too strongly. We brought it back inside and put baking soda on it (also recommended on the website) then vacuumed it off. Will repeat a few times and hope for the best since it looks like we are stuck with this thing. 23 days after delivery and it finally smells okay enough to risk bringing it inside. The quality is just okay, not as nice as our first NuLoom which was a thicker weave - we LOVED our first rug, had it for years and only replaced it due to a friend's dog chewing off an entire corner. This one has chunks of wood woven in that we had to pull out - which left loose stitching areas. The seams are also jagged and only look good on one side, so it won't be reversible. ... show more

This rug is everything I wanted, and really makes the room feel comfortable and nice. It was such a good price too, much cheaper than the other popular rug purveyors we were considering. I love that it's a natural fiber and color. As you can see in the pics, it mostly lays nice and flat, and has a clean edge to it. It came rolled, and still has a slightly upturned edge from the inner end of the roll. We just stuck that end under the couch legs, but if the curl was a problem I bet we could flatten it out with some heavy books or by laying it on its reverse side for a while. Very happy with the look, and it feels nice on bare feet. I gave both sides a good vacuuming upon delivery, and it hasn't seemed to shed at all since then. We've been using it for about a week. My cat went at it once, but so far hasn't gotten into scratching it as much as he did with the wool carpet we had previously. I hope it lasts for years, and would happily buy again. ... show more

Sooo much dirt. i've had this five weeks and there's so much dirt falling from it. I've vacuumed both sides every day. I can't believe how much dirt came in it. I don't even know how it's possible. I've seen other reviews say the same thing but it's true. Otherwise it's beautiful.
