I bought this rug to layer for our living room. It’s definitely soft but it has already snagged a lot and I’ve only had it for about 2 weeks. It’s very pretty but I’ve had some jute rugs that are pretty tough and I wouldn’t use that word to describe this. Low traffic area for sure

These are not perfect rugs, so if you're looking for the master craftsman/machine made style you won't be happy. But they are exactly what I've been looking for. Super soft under bare feet, with all the lovely imperfections that make it look like maybe, just maybe, you've got a really crafty grandmother that made it for you. It brought a whole new level of cozy to my living room, and after a month it is holding up well. Easy to vacuum or spot-clean. Enough variety in the material that you could probably get away with a stain or two if needed. It does shed a bit when unpacked. Surprisingly little new carpet smell. It’s a really pretty rug but it’s a little hard to vacuum, the hairs get stuck in the vacuum. Other than that it’s great and good quality.

We love this rug but some of the stitching did begin to come apart. If you have a sewing kit and you’re crafty, you can easily repair the weave and the edging that might fray. It is well worth the price and I would buy it again.
