I purchased and returned several rugs on amazon before finding this one. Most washable rugs were very rough canvas-like materials with the pattern printed on top. This Safavieh one has a more true rug appearance and is soft underfoot, like a velvety microfiber. It does have a rubbery backing so lays in place without sliding which I also appreciate. It is very thin, which was fine for our entry to allow us to open the door freely. I have not washed it yet, but so far the pattern has hidden stains well.

Perfect for the kitchen. thin, with rubber on the back. Can wash it which it also great for high traffic rug. I got the 10 ft long runner. It’s a great width and length, especially for the price! Only thing I don’t care for is bare feet stick to the material like Velcro lol

We had a really hard time finding a rug with a color/pattern we liked to layer over a large white rug. I wanted to like this one but truthfully I’m not very impressed. The rug is pretty thin, almost like a thin blanket— not necessarily a bad thing I guess, just maybe a bit thinner than expected. I guess it’s easy enough to clean. My son got some yellow curry on it — of all things 🤦🏼♀️— and while it didn’t completely come out it did mostly come out and isn’t noticeable due to the colors/pattern. I haven’t tried machine washing it but will try to remember to update this when I do. My main complaint is that it slips a lot on the rug I put it over. It’s always kinda wrinkled. I guess it’s fine but that’s my main reason for 4 stars. Since we layered it I think it’ll be hard to put a pad under it. It seems to have a slightly gripped backing so perhaps that wouldn’t happen directly on wood floors? Anyway, I guess I’d recommend it if you like the style. Really intrigued by the machine washability so we’ll see about that when the time comes.

As a pet parent (GSD) we need rugs that vacuum easily, clean up easily, while also being cute!! This rug is perfect!! I have not tried actually washing it in the washing machine yet-- but our dog did have an accident on it & it really is almost 100% waterproof. The liquid just sat on the top and we cleaned it up, then used a carpet cleaner and it was good as new!! It is thin & definitely not padded, so if you're looking for it to be "comfortable" then this probably isnt the rug for you--but it works for us perfectly!!

I really wanted to love this rug, and perhaps under other circumstances would have. I ordered the 8x10 in peach. It was true to size. The pattern and colors of the rug were very pretty. The peach was not pinky on my rug as another reviewer mentioned, but more of a terra cotta and worked well for my space. As clearly stated and pictured in the description this rug is thin, I suppose this is due to the washable aspect. We have a good sized front loader washer and there is no way this rug would have been able to be washed in my washer - even it it would fit in (which i don’t think it would) my experience tells me I washer would protest and throw out an unbalanced error. Regarding the thinness, if I would have kept the rug I would have ordered a 1/2 inch pad to make it comfortable on our hardwood floors - which would have offset the good price of the rug. Now on to the texture - at first I thought it was soft enough feeling it with my hands, then I walked on it with bare feet and the texture was so odd - almost reminiscent of velcro - such an odd feeling for a rug. In addition it made a weird sound when walked on; a reviewer on the NuLoom website said it like waking on a canvas tarp, and that’s not a bad description. I slipped a pad from another rug under it to see if it helped with the noise and it did not. So while I was willing to work around the thinness with a rug pad ultimately the texture and sound we’re deal breakers for me - as it was for our main living area so ot needed not to make an odd noise and needed to feel good under our feet. Perhaps this is the nature of washable rugs which in the future I will pass on for large areas. Maybe it works better on carpet - because it really is a pretty rug with a lovey pattern.

FINALY a beautiful carpet a must have if you have pets,b/c it cleans through the tuffest messes like no problem! it will not absorve the liquids like other carpet usualy do! i purchased 2 and i love them! game changer for cleaness! i spealed a whole plate with stew, and when i mentioned it to my husband he could not believe it! but i have to mentioned my steam mop helped on that too, a little peroxide in the steam and walla magic it picked it all up! and if you dont have a steam mop just regular rub/alcohol can also do it! and another game changer is that it tracks everything from your furry pets furr,in which i find this great as well!
