I wanted a furry modern rug for my bathroom vanity area and read a lot of reviews and bought another one with longer furry hair, it was so cheap you could see the underneath material and the quality was so poor so I returned it and bought this one. This one is PERFECT, still gives that furry modern look, shorter pile which actually looks more classy. The density is very good to excellent and the non-slip grip underneath it works perfectly, doesn't slip on my floor one bit. Overall: I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to keep this rug initially but now I love it! Great value for money if you know what you’re getting. Color: I kinda thought it would be more brown but it’s a very neutral beige. It’s the same color as our floor which I didn’t know whether I would like once I saw it in person, but it actually makes the room look bigger because it doesn’t stand out as much as our previous dark rug did. It does have kind of a dual-toned look because of the shiny finish, kind of like how suede is. Initially I thought this would make it look dirty. You can easily draw shapes in it for example. But since we use this rug so much, all the footprints kind of mixed together and it now looks like it has a uniform blotched design. Natural light also helps to make the color look more uniform. Texture: The texture is soft and slick. Another reviewer mentioned it is slippery, and I agree I wouldn’t want anyone running on it, but I actually do my morning yoga on this rug and love the fact that it’s more slick because I can shift into positions easily on it. Because it’s more of a shag, it doesn’t get that matted look that normal rugs do. This is something I hated about my previous rug because we have four cats and it just was impossible to keep clean. So far this rug shows hardly any dirt and I haven’t had to vacuum it once, even though it’s been in a medium-traffic area for about a week. Pile: I will say the pile height is a little misleading because it’s a shag. When the shag is standing up, it’s about an inch in pile height. But as soon as you walk around on it, the shag is going to sway up, down, and around. When it’s laying down, the pile is more like .25” high. This wasn’t a huge deal to us because we have a rug pad underneath and also left the old rug underneath to add more cushion. But if you’re looking for a super cushioned rug, this is not it! ... show more

This is a great rug! I wasn’t sure how it would turn out with the price point that it’s at, but it’s a great rug. It’s soft and fluffy and holds up with machine washing. We’ve already washed it over five times and it still is just as soft as stays together. We did buy a rug pad for under it though as it’s not that thick ... show more

Carpet is well made and extremely soft; however, it is very very slippery. It is unusually slippery, which makes me afraid someone might slip on it and fall. I have never owned an area rug that was slippery like this one. I felt I was on an ice skating rink. So I got rid of it. In addition, the gray color rug switches from light grey to a different shade of gray wherever you walk on it, which looks unattractive, which makes it look like a mishmash finger-paint job. We placed this rug in our nursery, and it is super soft, so I imagine it will be great to sit on with our baby when he comes. It’s nice that it is also washable as well! Would definitely recommend! So I previously gave this review 5 stars and am revising to 3 because the entire purpose I bought this rug for my nursery was so I could wash it; however, after having tried to wash it, I can tell you that it is next to impossible to wash. As others have said, it is way too large and heavy to wash (even though I have a large washer), so now I am left contemplating getting a new rug after less than 6 months of use because it is dirty, and I can’t wash it :( ... show more

I had a small, fluffy throw rug on my bedroom floor because the Schnauzers loved scratching it to "fluff it up" to nap on. But it was too small, so I got this 4' one (wish I'd gotten a 5' one). The dogs love it! What surprised and delighted me was how perfect the color is for my room. My walls are a steel-grey blue with 1 grey accent wall and grey trim. The rug is actually both of these colors, EXACTLY, depending on which way the fibers' nap is laying.
