My rug arrived yesterday and I was expecting it to be creased since it was shipped folded up. Once I laid it on the floor the creases disappeared almost immediately. I ordered the 9x12 (actual size is 8.5 x 11.5) in the natural color to help keep the wooden floors warmer in my old victorian fatmhouse. It looks great and is a great value. I love that the rug is chunky and has some weight to it. There's a slight hemp rope like smell that is dissipating. I'm planning to buy more of these rugs for some other rooms. ... show more

Love! I’m super picky with rugs since they make or break a room so I tend to go neutral with them and this one was perfect. I got the 8x10 size for my office and will be getting a second one for my bedroom. It’s nice, thick, super durable and the color is PERFECT! My only complaint is that my robot vacuum gets stuck on the fringe at the edge, so I have to use my handheld vacuum in there / on the rug. But overall great value for the quality. ... show more

This is a great rug from a look and texture standpoint. It is very chunky. Not soft, but I’m using it in an office, no one will be barefoot so I don’t care about soft. Cons-My photo shows the “navy” rug on top of navy carpet. Rug looks more purple than navy. It is also not very well “loomed” as the loops come up when using a vacuum 😕(see lumps in photos) ... show more

EDIT 3/1/18: I am downgrading my original review from 4 stars to 3. Unfortunately, the item doesn't stand the test of time. The item browned in the sunlight, and traffic (particularly from kids and dogs) caused it to warp and unravel. We finally decided to throw it away. It was good while it lasted, though, which was about 1.5 years. If you don't have kids and dogs, and if you can keep it out of too much direct sunlight, you could probably get much more mileage out of it than we did. --ORIGINAL REVIEW-- First off, it looks every bit as terrific as the photos show, which is why it gets 4 stars instead of 3. It's also very soft, at least once you've gotten all the sticks and hard fibers out. Before buying, though, you should be aware that: 1.) Because it's natural fiber, it has a LOT of dirt, sticks, and hard fiber pieces stuck into it. I spent a good week walking over it and using scissors to cur out sharp and hard pieces. It's much better now. 2.) It's a very large weave, which means that it will fray, stretch, and warp fairly easily. You need to be okay with a more "rustic" look if you get this rug. Ours has several pulls, but the bad ones can usually be fixed by tucking them back in. REGARDING THE COLOR on the Bleached version, the staged photo is most accurate - we were worried when we bought because the direct overhead view looked a little yellowy, but it is a nice natural bleached color that's perfect for our dining room. Overall, expect some mess and some maintenance. But if you like the rustic look, this is a good product for a great price. ... show more

This is a thick but soft jute rug. It has its own cushiony texture and is thicker than I thought it would be, so I was able to go without a rug liner. Very well made. I love the rustic look of this rug. It does have some frayed tassles that make it look a bit damaged. I really hope it holds up over time and use. I got the 4x4' size, and it is perfect in the space I have planned for it.
