I'm on the fence. As a boy aunt with a Australian Retriever, washable is a MUST. The pros: The coloring is great! I wasn't expecting much with the price point, I just needed to protect the hardwood. It also has slip-resistant backing! Last, I was expecting to have to wrestle it into the house and unroll it...nope! Nice and light delivered in a reasonably sized box! WHAT?! HOWEVER the cons: While it's soft, it almost has a microfiber cloth feel. It also sounds like velcro when my dog walks across it with his rough feet (don't come after me). Point being, if you have anyone in or that may be in your household that has textile or auditory sensitivities, I recommend running this rug past them before putting it out. The "eh": If you have an old school Dyson it's going to gobble it up. I see a lot of reviews that the roomba type vacuums do well so perhaps it's time for me to upgrade, but it's not a deal breaker. ... show more

I have washed it twice already and dried it in the dryer. Having pets, it get dirty! Comes out like new every time. I wash it with a squirt of Dawn and a cup of white vinegar. Best purchase ever! Pretty, soft, easy to clean.
