I was in search of an area rug for my apartment because I have hardwood floors and a newly sprinting toddler! I was searching for a rug that was a good price value, soft enough to cushion his falls, and wide enough to cover most of my living room. This rug is perfect for that! This fit the bill for our baby boy's nursery. We wanted a large rug that didn't break the bank. We got this in 8x10 and it was the only one I could find for our $200 budget. It covers most of the hardwood in his room, which is perfect. It is NOT thick, plush, shaggy as the title describes. It is not as full and shaggy as it looks in the picture. It is soft and it works.     • SO thin, cheap, and reeks!
We've bought nuLoom rugs before and been happy. This rug however arrived matted, and so tightly rolled (no rolle in middle) that the shag will never "pop up." the entire border where it was rolled shows the backing of the rug and no amount of sweeping it would cover the backing. In multiple places, the backin shows through the shag. The rug is rough and the chemical smell is awful. As this was for a child's room, we can not keep it. This rug is very pretty and I love the color, but it is very thin. I don't like how the corners curl up. If I didn't have a coffee table weighing it down it would definitely be sliding all over the living room. I reccomend getting a non slip thing to go under it if there won't be furniture weighing it down. It's also very difficult to vacuum but I think that's because the shag is so long.. which is also a good thing because that's what makes it full and plush. The pictures aren't accurate. The rug is much thinner and silkier than what was shown. I expected a thicker shag rug according to the pictures.
