My first reaction to the stand was "I wish I thought of this design first." It is an excellent design for versatility, and its construction is superb. The metal is thick stock with a durable finish (perhaps it's even a powder coat). The hinges are sturdy and their adjustment has a smooth resistance that keeps the phone securely in position. The base has non-slip silicone pads that do a good job of preventing the stand from moving on a desk surface when using the touch screen of the phone. Similarly, the upper part of the phone bracket has two silicon pads to stabilize the phone. When using my phone while charging, the cord can be passed through the back of the stand to keep it out of the way. The bracket piece that holds the phone is the proper height for placing the phone in either the vertical or horizontal position. Finally, the stand folds flat for storage in a backpack or a small bag. In summary, this product is a winner. ... show more
