I’ve been using the S56 for several days during short trips, working at home, and relaxed music listening, and overall the experience matches what they promise. The case, made of matte white plastic, feels solid in the hand and doesn’t come across as cheap or slippery. On the front there’s a small display that shows the battery level of each earbud, which is genuinely useful and easy to read, even in bright light. In the photos you can clearly see that white finish; it looks clean, although in real use it reflects light quite a bit and fingerprints show up easily. When you open the case, the earbuds fit precisely and the magnets hold them firmly in place with no looseness. Pairing was quick from the first use, and a voice prompt confirms when they’re connected, which helps avoid any guesswork. In the ear they feel stable and comfortable; I wore them for over an hour at a time without discomfort or pressure. The sound is clear and pleasant for everyday listening and calls, with a good balance overall, even though there isn’t much you can tweak in terms of EQ directly from the earbuds. The touch controls respond well, with a small, noticeable click when you tap them, and the manual explains each function clearly, which I appreciated. These earbuds are fairly budget friendly, which is great is you don't want to shell out for premium earbuds and don't mind average sound quality. I like that these earbuds are genuinely lightweight. I like the sleek white color and fairly small profile. I like that they connect with my devices easily. I am not someone who likes to use earbuds for an extended period of time, because even small ones tend to make my ears sore after wear. These don't make them any more sore than other earbuds I have had, which is good. I don't like to use earbuds for calls -- I just use them for passive listening, so for my use they have worked well, but I can't really speak to how the mic works as opposed to any other earbuds. I like the small size of the case and it seems to work well for charging and storage, but it is kind of strangely laid out so that you have to rotate the earbuds to put them in. That's not a deal breaker for me, but it is what I would consider to be a design flaw, since so many other earbuds have a much more intuitive case. ... show more
