Ordered a 72x60 awning to provide expanded cover for a well used entry. Awning was delivered very quickly. Assembly and instructions were precise, easy to follow. Due to size was a two person job, but awning is sturdy and well designed for assembly....with one exception. Instructions recommended locating studs to attach wall mounting bar. Was a little tricky because stud finder won't work accurately from outside through siding, sheathing, insulation etc. but managed by working from the inside. Great, lets mount the bar...but wait. Mounting bar holes are predrilled 17" on center, not 16" like most of the world is used to. Had to redrill all but one mounting hole to catch all studs. REALLY?? This little brain f@$t cost them 1 star for lack of common sense. ... show more

I got this six days after I ordered it. I think assembly took an hour and I had it bolted to the house after 30 minutes. Seems solid and no more being rained on while I'm unlocking the door.

    • Overpriced and some cheezy parts

After putting the product together and installing it I'm disappointed in its price and the build/design quality of its parts, and that giving it an overall rating of three stars is probably too generous. If you appreciate good engineering, design, and product quality be ready to be disappointed. The actual panels are made of a disappointingly thin-gauge material and I'm doubtful they'll hold up to snow in the 60" awning I purchased. The sides to the awning were pre-built, with what were supposed to be adjustable connector plates to tie the bottom rail to the house wall. The adjustment feature would allow for the wall being out of plumb, but the bottom rail on each side piece was cut 1/2" too long and thus with the connection plate set as far in as possible the sides were actually tilted upwards. And because the side rails have to go on the awning before the installation to the house, the only way to discover the shoddy factory work was to get the entire awning attached to the house---and then noticing there was no way to level the bottoms of the two side rails. The fix? Take the whole thing down and cut a half-inch off of each side rail, then reinstall the cheezy connection plate that affixes to the house wall. Overall, the quality of this product was mediocre at best and absolutely NOT worth the $413 it cost me. ... show more

    • Very Good Quality Canopy; Ease of Assembly and Installation

Excellent quality canopy; structural and trim components designed thoughtfully with good fit. We assembled this canopy in our driveway as that gave us a good, flat, ample lay-down space for fastening all of the components in a careful manner. Supporting, and holding up the canopy prior to securing it to the snap-in rail is a two-man job; not so much due to weight, but because of it's overall size (ours was 6' wide.) Care must be taken while installing the snap-in rail which is secured to your house siding. We chose a spot where our stainless steel screws (not included) would not interfere with those beneath our vinyl siding. The snap-in support rail must first be leveled prior to securing it to the house. Then, supporting the canopy, the other person engaged the tail end into the corresponding rail, pressing it downwards, locking it into place; a positive support and locking design which worked well. ... show more

    • my mounting plate was drilled at 20 inches.

Where the first slat fits to hard ware was not machined properly, so I had pound it on and it made that part very difficult. I had to use wire lube and yes the end got bent a bit. IT turned out good in the end, but would not buy something I cant see 1st. That you have to put together yourself.

The awning came much quicker than I expected. Packages were in great shape and everything was packaged very well. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The awning is made to order and it looked exactly like the picture. Pieces slide together and everything is held together with sheet metal screws and clips. If you follow the instructions, the awning attaches securely to the house. It looks nice and appears to be made to last. We'll see how it holds up, but it looks like it will last a long time. ... show more

This is a beautiful addition to our home that is keeping a problem door dry. It was easy to install, even though we did have to drill some holes in the frame to line it up correctly. We recommend this product.
