I was worried about the reviews I read and the pictures I saw of the substrate and grains being mixed, but I ordered 2 of them and both wasn't mixed at all. All the grain is in the bottom, and the substrate on top. I live all the way in the Philippines and it was a quick delivery and nothing was damaged. Very happy with my purchase. I think they read all the negative reviews about how the substrate and grains were mixed so they fixed that. Package comes with everything needed, a cool sticker, and easy to follow instructions that's great for new growers. So far I recommend ordering this product! Will be inoculating soon. I followed instructions to the "T". Let me say this, I have been into mycology for a while now and am fairly experienced. Never had an issue with a bag claiming to be sterile and it not fruiting. But with this one, nothing... Nothing happened at all. Yes, the company did give me a refund so I applaud that, however, doesn't help that I wasted a syringe of spores that I can't get back. (And yes, the spores were good because I used the rest of the syringe in some rice that worked fine). I'm sure this was just a bad bag, but I would say to just be cautious and think about possibly going for something a little more reputable ... show more

Everything seems quality with this grow kit, and I have used several others. I especially like that the grain and substrate aren’t pre-mixed, allowing for a bit more traditional process of colonizing the grain alone first and then mixing into the substrate.
