  • I like it
Style: Processor
It seems nice, and seems fast. I use it for personal stuff, I don't use it for games. It has 4 case fans (plus the cpu fan, plus the power supply has it's own fan). I unplugged 2 of the case fans because I don't think it needs them. The fans have rainbow colors. Even the memory sticks have rainbow lights on them. The gamer PCs have a rainbow light show nowadays LOL. It's like a party going on inside the PC. I guess some gamers like that. The fans are very quiet. On the back, it has 4 USB 3.1 ports, and 4 USB 2.0 ports. Plus a PS2 port, VGA port, some other port, HDMI of course, ethernet, and audio ports. On the top it has 1 USB 3.1 port, and 2 USB 2.0 ports. It's assembled in the USA (a USA company). In general, the "gaming" PCs seem like a better value than most/all of the "office" PCs -- they seem to have better/faster components, they have larger cases which makes it easy to fix/upgrade in the future, they have case fans for good cooling, and the price is the same or lower. It came with Windows 11, but when I went through the startup/install process, it required me to open an "account" with Microsoft, and said something about how Microsoft will store your backups on their cloud storage service. But I don't want an account with them, and I don't want them to copy all my personal/private files to their servers. I think that is ridiculous nevermind illegal. I think there is a way to bypass that and not open an account though -- I searched online and found some articles. But I decided to use Linux instead. BTW, I installed the Linux Mint 21 operating system (October 2023), and it is AWESOME. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it. (LinuxMint.com) It is at least as user friendly as Windows. After you install it, you don't have to do any configuring/installing in the 'terminal' by typing commands etc. It's ready to go. I first tried Ubuntu 20 & 22, and there was some problems such as not being able to easily make desktop shortcuts etc, but Linux Mint fixed all of the problems with Ubuntu and everything works. The only thing with Linux in general is that there are not as many programs/apps for it because most app makers only make their apps for Windows, but more & more makers are making their apps to run on Linux too. So if you have some apps that only work on Windows then you need Windows, but if you're just a casual user that does basic things then Linux may work for you. Linux Mint 21 has a very nice text editor, the LibreOffice suite (compatible with the Microsoft office suite), web browsers (firefox, brave, and others), and alot of other stuff. And it has a software 'store' where everything is free, with a fair amount of extra apps for various purposes. ... show more

  • Excellent if you can find a sale on them

I now have 2 of these machines. They come stock with ryzen 5 5600g processors. No video card installed. Which is acceptable at this price point. I found that NSX is very nebulous about what hardware you are actually getting. So what I found with the 2 units I bought. Lexar rgb ram 2 8gb sticks ddr4 3600. Properly configured since there are only 2 ram slots. It's mostly an MSI build. MSI 600 watt bronze non modular power supply, MSI B450 motherboard, MSI case not sure of model, generic 512 gb M.2 ssd, stock ryzen cooler, 4 generic rbg fans three of which are front mounted, and 1 back mounted. They do not appear to he addressable. There is an opening at top to ventilate up to a 280 aio rad not included of course. They also throw in a non adressable rgb lighted keyboard and mouse. They are about what you'd expect at this price. Nice try, but the keyboard/mouse combo are very basic. The bios seems to be properly configured with xmp enabled. Windows is preinstalled and surprisingly no other bloatware. When I got these machines, they were 375 bucks. Which was a steal. At over 500 not so much. Buy a video card and you could have a very competent gaming rig on the reasonable. ... show more

  • It exceeded my expectations for a $500 price point

I was concerned about the build quality of this machine since I had no experience with nsx computers. I was pleasantly surprised. Build quality was great. Cable management was the best I have seen in a new build. Not cheap and flimsy. I really figured I would just pitch the keyboard and mouse, but no way, they were really cool and well made. Was hoping for wifi built on the board, but no it included a usb wifi adapter, but I can live with that. If you are looking for a Gaming PC and would like to get into one for around $500 this is a good start. I had a powerful video card to place in this machine. I recommend adding a discrete card, but It would play low end games and low resolution just fine just as it is. ... show more

  • Just add video card and you have a nice budget gaming pc.
Style: Processor
Pros: - Cheap - Small and lightweight - Fast for the price - Built and cable managed well. - RGB is tasteful but is not too flashy or bright and annoying - Mouse/KB included. Mouse scroll wheel broke after a month but mechanical keyboard from Viper is surprisingly okay and looks rad. - Lightweight and easy to move. - Quiet. Not silent, but its not disruptive at all I am in meetings all the time never had an issue and my pc sits on my desk. Cons: - No wifi/bluetooth. I planned on the wifi but did not think to check bluetooth. Not a big deal but would have been worth the extra 25 bucks in the purchase price for a card or motherboard that added it. - 16GB is fine for casual use but on windows 11 only about 7 is available for you so not for gaming or heavy lifting. - Too small ssd if gaming/storing media. - if using large graphics card (I am using a 3070 and it fits just barely if you jenga the card during install) it will cover the board and expansion slots so cant use peripheral cards like bluetooth/wireless AX, must be usb accessories/peripherals and surely will interfere with other coolers and board based add-ons if any so plan accordingly. Overall very happy with this purchase. I upgraded the ram, ssd, and video card and have a great cheap gaming pc that I will continue upgrading until the ryzen 5 is too old. ... show more
