  • I love it
Style: 108 Mechanical Keyboard
This keyboard is amazing. It's exactly what I was looking for regarding typing feel. The keys are super smooth and there's a satisfying noise when they bottom out. They aren't clicky, but there is some noise, so be aware if you need something quiet. It also feels good quality, the materials are not cheap feeling. ... show more

  • Not many features, but actually pretty nice to use.
Style: 108 Mechanical Keyboard
Assuming the 40% discount offer still holds at it's current $46 price point, this is actually a pretty nice, albeit fairly basic linear switch keyboard. The build quality is basically par for the course as most budget keyboards go: all plastic with no metal to speak of. The keyboard doesn't weight very much and it's got a bit of flex to it, but I think this isn't really a detriment to the typing feel - especially considering how light the keys feel. The keycaps are doubleshot ABS with orange legends. They're not going to win any awards for sharpness and they're certainly going to shine up with long term use, but they are pretty legible and feel nice. The media keys aren't labeled though, so you'll need to remember where they are when you press the "Fn" key. The switches underpinning the keys are Content/KTT Reds. According to the specs, they have 40 grams of actuation force with 2.0 mm actuation point. Linears aren't my first choice for typing but I actually really like how these switches feel. They're fast, smooth, and they have a nice sound - at least in this chassis. There isn't much in the way of customization for this keyboard - predictably, since it's an off-brand budget model. There's no drivers that I could find, so that means you'll have to get creative if you want remapping or macros. I do appreciate NPET not going overboard with the look of the fixed RGB. Since they keycaps aren't transparent, the lighting just comes off as a subtle underglow which I think looks okay. I just really wish it was solid color., though it's easy to shut off with "Fn + Esc" hotkey. The hot swap capability is nice to have, though I don't really see why you'd want to invest putting more expensive switches into this thing. If anything, I'd pull these switches and put them into something a little more full-featured with PBT keycaps. I do appreciate the inclusion of a tool and three spare switches though. It's also worth pointing out this keyboard doesn't exactly resemble the listing pictures. The listing shows a keyboard with a gray badge, black keycaps and dark gray modifiers, and these absolutely horrible looking inward sloped "+" and "Enter" keys on the numpad. The actual keyboard I received has a black badge with dark gray keycaps, black modifiers (basically the opposite of the listing photos) and no silly sloped numpad keys. I'm not complaining - I think this is actually a lot nicer looking than the keyboard they were advertising, but NPET needs to update their listing to reflect the actual product. Overall, I'm happy with this keyboard. It's not as full-featured as I'd like (especially if you're stuck paying $46 for it), but it feels quite nice to type on and I think it will satisfy most users looking for an inexpensive linear keyboard. ... show more

  • PCB Issues !!
Style: 87 Mechanical Keyboard
The initial impressions for this keyboard were just great. For 13$, this was a great deal. Well it lasted 2 weeks of very light use (non gaming). The "i" key went out first... replaced the key with the spare ones... it fixed the issue for 10 - 15 mins and the same issue reoccured. I removed that key and replaced it with another one but this time, it never worked. I also noticed that one more key above it "8" also went out. At this time, i strongly suspect a PCB issue with the keyboard. Maybe thats the reason for the low price. Amazon as always provided exceptional customer service and resolved the issue with a refund. No response from the seller on this one. There is no product support that you can expect from China. ... show more

  • Great value for the price, with minor drawbacks
Style: 108 Mechanical Keyboard
Update: I ordered a set of low profile key caps and switched them out on this keyboard. I am now using this keyboard as my primary. Although typing is a bit loud, I just really enjoy the feel of the key travel and the switches. I spent about $30 total on this keyboard and the new keycaps, so great value. I have experimented with a couple other pricier keyboards, up to $100, and did not find them to provide any additional value over this one. I put on high contrast key caps, so I can live without the backlighting for now. Original: I'm echoing other people's sentiment that for the price ($16), this is a pretty nice keyboard. It's relatively comfortable to type on and offers most of the features I was looking for in a full size keyboard. I really like the bright orange print that offers excellent contrast, as well as the dedicated volume keys. Like others, mine is an all black base with the black and gray inverted from the product images in the listing. The upper right buttons are a different layout, but still offer calculator, volume, and mute. But there are a few drawbacks: 1. Typing is LOUD. This is not a quiet keyboard, so if you're in an office and doing a lot of typing, it will get annoying quick. Best to keep this one at home. 2. The only backlight option is rainbow or nothing. I find that obnoxious. Just give me a decent white backlight like any other keyboard. And don't even get me started on the absurd effect lighting. I just keep the backlight off. 3. The function keys do not have any secondary labels, so you're missing out on some features that other keyboards include. Ultimately, I prefer to type on a keyboard with lower profile keys, and I also need a backlight for night time. So, I'll keep this one as a backup, but I am going to explore other options in lower profile mechanical keyboards. ... show more
